Georgia Beer Co. Field Party Blonde Ale

Big thanks to the Georgia Beer CO. for sending me, Field Party Blonde Ale, 5.0% ABV and many other beers, which I will be reviewing soon, so please keep you eyes peeled for those here. Georgia Beer Co. in Valdosta, Goergia brewer this blonde ale and brews a few of the same beer that have different fruits in them. Putting fruits into a blonde ale is a common thing in craft brewing. But this Field Party has no fruit. it pours a golden color with a one and half finger white head that is slow to fade. The aroma is bready with light sweetness. The flavor is light with sweet bread notes, and a light mouthfeel. The finish is not really much but a very light sweet note. The aftertaste is the same with a very faint hoppy note that quickly turns to a faint sweetness. Overall this is a light tasty refreshing beer. I give Georgia Beer Co. Field Part Blonde Ale a B. It is great on a hot day, and could be a lawnmower beer or a golfers beer. But I don’t play golf of have a yard to mow. But It’s a solid beer. Stronger.more flavors and this could be an perfect beer. Clubtails Bahama Mama

This is a little different from the usual post. It’s not a beer but kind of close. Clubtails Bahama Mama, 10% ABV (all their products are 10% ABV) is a Canadian malt beverage. Clubtails are crafted from a fermented malt base like a beer but with little more of a punch. They try and spend their time perfecting the flavor and taste according to the actual sprit-based cocktail. The fine folks at the Geloso Beverage Group sent this to me with four others. This Bahama Mama pours (over ice) a pink grapefruit color. The can states that there is a tropical fusion of sensational strawberry, cherry, and citrus flavors. The aroma is sweet and fruity. I did smell strawberry and a tiny bit of cherry. I found an orange citrus scent there too. The flavor on this Bahama Mama is sweet, a little candy sweetness. I did get strawberry flavors with oranges, but not much cherry. The mouthfeel is light and refreshing. It finishes with a big sweet tropical flavor and bitterness. The aftertaste is best described as a tropical Jolly Rancher candy. Its aftertaste is tropical sweet and fruity. Overall this Clubtail Bahama Mama is pretty good. I give it a B. It has enough sweetness without being too sweet. It does taste like a tropical Bahama Mama cocktail. So they nailed that. This Clubtail is a good summer drink, and 10% ABV is not too bad. Allagash Brewing Company Truepenny Pilsner

Today’s beer is Allagash Brewing Company Truepenny Pilsner, 5.1% ABV. Truep[enny is from Portland, Maine. I love pilsners more and more. It is a nice change of pace from all the hoppy pales and IPAs. This Pilsner pours a golden color with a two-and-a-half finger fluffy white head. The aroma is crisp, bright, sweet, and bread. It smells much like a Pilsner should be. The taste is bright, crisp, beaded with sweetness. The mouthfeel is light but does coat your mouth a little. It has a clean, crisp finish and a mild aftertaste of sweet malted bread. This beer is delightfully delicious. I give Allagash Brewing Company Truepenny Pilsner an A+. I think that Pilsners will be a new popular trend in craft beer soon in the future. It could be that the craft beer market has too much hoppy-style beer, like pale ales, IPAs, and similar types of beer. This beer is a crisp, clean, and delicious beer that is worth trying. NoDa Brewing Company 1775 Pale Ale

NoDa Brewing Company 1775 Pale Ale, 5.1% ABV brewed right here in Charlotte, North Carolina. This pale ale is in conjunction with the Charlotte Independence Soccer Club, a minor league soccer team. 1775 is the year that Charlotte gained its independence. This pale ale pours a copper color with a two and a quarter finger head of white that slowly fades into nice lacing throughout the pint glass. The aroma is citrusy, bitter with light malt. The taste of this pale ale is much similar to the way it smells, and you get a citrus bitterness with a faint sweetness and a very faint touch of the malts. The mouthfeel is medium with good coverage over your whole mouth. It finishes with a bitter grapefruit/orange note that is refreshing. The aftertaste is mildly citrusy, and it bitterer with just a little linger. This pale ale surprised me how good it was. Sometimes you find a pale ale to be more like an IPA. Some are more of a lighter pilsner. This beer was none of those. It was just halfway between those. I’d say NoDa Brewing Company 1775 Pale Ale is an A+. It would be great for someone who’s never had a hoppy beer and wants to try one. I would recommend this beer to anyone. Please be kind, stay safe, and enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Hi-Wire Brewing Company and Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Hi-Wire Love CLT Summer Crush

Hi-Wire Brewing Company and Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Hi-Wire Love CLT Summer Crush, 4% ABV. It is a collaboration between Hi-Wire Brewing in Asheville, North Carolina, and Olde Mecklenburg here in. Charlotte, NC. That is one long name for a beer. This beer is a Berliner Weisse. This beer is in Asheville, North Carolina. This beer pours a golden color with a one-and-a-half-finger white thin head. It has a tart, sweet & sour fruity-like aroma. The taste is light wheat sweetness and some tartness that a faintly fruity. The mouthfeel is light. It has a tart and a sour finish. It has an aftertaste of wheat and faint tart fruits with a light sourness that doesn’t linger. This beer is a refreshing beer that I give an A- to. Each of its flavors is minimal but good. I think if it had a bolder flavor, it would be perfect. Old Nation Brewing Company New Orthodox India Pale Ale Series M-43 India Pale Ale

Old Nation Brewing Company Ne Orthodox India Pale Ale Series M-43 India Pale Ale, 6.8% with 65 IBUs (International Bittering Units) from Williamston, Michigan, and is a New England style IPA brewed with Pilsner, wheat, oat malts, Calypso, Amarillo, Citra boil hops, and dry-hopped with Citra, Amarillo, and Simcoe. This IPA pours a cloudy yellow with a two-finger bright fluffy white head that slow to dissipate. The aroma is slightly sweet, bitter, and fruity with citrus (orange and light grapefruit). The taste is similar to the way it smells. You get a nice bittersweet from the oats and citrus fruit. The mouthfeel is medium. It does have a bit of fullness. The M-43 IPA finishes with a nice bittersweet fruity flavor that lingers into the aftertaste. This beer has on Instagram, but I’ve never really seen it here in North Carolina. But I was browsing through my local grocery store there it was. It is not bad. The oat malts used here really make this beer unique. I give this a B+. It needs just a MORE fruity flavor to pump it up to an A. But I found Old Nation Brewing Company Ne Orthodox India Pale Ale Series M-43 India Pale Ale to be good and tasty. I recommend that you find Old Nation Brewing Company Ne Orthodox India Pale Ale Series M-43 India Pale Ale and give it a try. Please be kind, be safe and enjoy responsibly! Cheers! 

Georgia Beer Company Southern Isles Tropical IPA

Georgia Beer Company Southern Isles Tropical IPA, 6.5% ABV is brewed in Valdosta, Georgia, dry-hopped with Georgia Beer Company Southern Isles Tropical IPA, 6.5% ABV, is brewed in Valdosta, Georgia, dry-hopped with Citra, Azacca, and Lemon Drop hops. It also has American 2-row, wheat, and Munich malts. This beer came to me from Atlanta, Georgia bt a co-worker/friend. Southern Isles pours a copper color with a one and a quarter finger white head that quickly fizzles away. The aroma is sharp bitterness, citrus, tropical fruits (slight mango). The taste is bitter at first, with little citrus notes. There is a bit of faint mango. The mouthfeel is medium. Southern Isles finish bitter and hoppy, then a bitter mango/grapefruit aftertaste that is too bitter. I didn’t find Georgia Beer Company Southern Isles Tropical IPA to be that great, and I give it a D-. It did not have enough tropical flavor, only light faint tropical flavors. It was like they weren’t there. I would not recommend Georgia Beer Company Southern Isles Tropical IPA. This beer is the first Georgia Beer Company beer I’ve had, and it’s not a good way to start. Elysian Brewing Company Contact Haze Hazy IPA

Thanks to my dog Nell for having a litter of wonder cute puppies for me to receive Elysian Brewing Company Contact Haze Hazy IPA, 6% ABV which was part of a mixed twelve-pack in which the new owners of one of Nell’s puppies was given. Mind Haze pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a one-finger white head that slowly fades into thick lacing. The aroma is peachy fruit with a dry hoppy note. The flavor is peach as well, with a fruited hoppy dry flavor too that is lemony on the back of the tongue. The mouthfeel is light and refreshing. Mind Haze finishes with a fruity hoppy dryness and a light hoppy bitter fruity aftertaste. Elysian Brewing company Mind Haze Hazy IPA is a really good tasty refreshing IPA that is well-deserving of an A+. It has a nice balance between the fruity peach flavor and the bitter hoppy flavor. The peach notes had to it an overall refreshing taste. I highly recommend it. It was so good I had three and the beer’s flavor did not become too much for my tastebuds. The flavor is sessionable, but not o much for the ABV. The flavor overall isn’t so bold that it blew my mind. The flavor was just right to be sessionable and easy. That’s what made it excellent. Creature comforts Brewing Co. & Threes Brewing Simply Put Rice Lager

CreatCreature Comforts Brewing Co. & Threes Brewing Simply Put Rice Lager, 4% ABV is a collaboration between the two breweries that are brewed in Athens, Georgia. This rice lager is brewed with Marsh Hen Mill Carolina Gold rice, along with Pacifica and Meridian hops. it pours a gold yellow straw color with a two-finger steady bright white head. The aroma is crisp, sweet biscuit with a very faint citrusy note. Now the flavor is sweet but not as sweet as it smells, and I found a nice crisp/dry breaded note with a very faint citrusy flavor. The mouthfeel is light and crisp. This rice lager finishes smooth crisp with dryness. That dryness carries into the aftertaste the is semi-sweet. Now for a while, I have been found of lagers, and I think that is because the craft beer scene is flooded with all kinds of IPAs. I like IPA, but you can only keep having something you like for so long before you need a break from it. I also believe that Lager beer will become the new tread. But anyhow I find this Creature Comforts Brewing Co. & Threes Brewing Simply Put Rice Lager to be a good beer, getting an A+. It isn’t as dry as some more classic rice lagers. It is refreshingly crisp with good flavors that are well brewed. I highly recommend Creature Comforts Brewing Co. & Threes Brewing Simply Put Rice Lager. Wild Leap Brew Co. Chance IPA

Wild Leap Brew Co. Chance IPA 6.2% ABV brewed in LaGrange, Georgia is a 2020 US Beer Championship Gold winner. This IPA pours a yellow color with a two-finger white semi-steady fading head. It has a citrusy fruit flavor (orange and grapefruit) with a decent bitter aroma. The taste is fairly decent with citrusy notes of orange and grapefruit, bitterness is mild. There also are a few floral notes. The mouthfeel is medium. It finishes with a fruity floral flavor. The aftertaste is bitter fruity that comes and goes quickly. Overall this is slightly above average, getting a B-. It has a nice citrus flavor but nothing more than wows the tastebuds. It’s not bad. I found it to be a good IPA. Yes, there are better IPA out there. If I have more of this maybe my opinion on it might change and I’m willing to give Wild Leap Brew Co. Chance IPA and chance. It’s a good beer to try for yourself!
