It is fest beer season and time for Oktoberfest. This beer is an Oktoberfest Lager from Burial Beer called Fest. This beer is a seasonal beer that is 5.9% ABV. This lager beer pours a golden orange color with a two-finger white head. The aroma is lightly honey-sweet and malty. The flavor is sweet, caramel, honey, malty, and crisp. This lager is medium feeling on the mouth. Then this beer finishes with a malty sweet and crisp flavor. The aftertaste is malt and caramel. Overall, this Fest beer is not overly sweet. The malt flavors take some of the sweet edge off. This beer is good, A+ good. I would not pass up the opportunity to drink this. All the flavors are well-balanced and delicious. I could have several of these before I would get tired of the flavor, and you will too. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Edmunds Oast Brewing Co. Cereal For Dinner

I first reviewed this beer, Cereal For Dinner, back in 2020 at the end of May. I thought I would review this beer again because I keep seeing this everywhere. This beer is by Edmunds Oast Brewing Co. in Charleston, South Carolina. This beer comes in at 5.5% ABV and has almonds, vanilla, Lactose, and coconut. This ale pours yellow with a two-finger steady head. The aroma is vanilla-sweet and nutty. The flavor is also vanilla, coconut, and smooth. The flavor of this beer is nutty but slightly nuttier than its aroma. This beer feels light on the mouth. Then you come to a finish of sweet vanilla nuttiness with some fake or artificial coconut. The aftertaste is sweet and nothing more. This beer is not overly sweet overall. That’s good because blonde beer that is sweet shouldn’t be. This ale has the right amount of sweetness with a bit of a nutty flavor. I give Cereal For Dinner a B+. This beer has plain vanilla and not a more exotic type of vanilla. If it did, I would probably rate this higher. I recommend that you drink this beer. It is good. This beer is good enough to have a few. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Big Boss Brewing Company Harvest Time Pumpkin Ale

Pumpkin Beer is a fall beer that has grown in popularity over the years. More and more breweries are producing pumpkin beer. I’m not a big fan of the whole pumpkin-flavored stuff let alone pumpkin beer. This particular pumpkin beer is Harvest Time Pumpkin Ale. This is produced in Raleigh, North Carolina by Big Boss Brewing Company. This beer is 5.5% ABV. Pumpkin beer is usually only round in October, but some come to the store shelves near the end of August. Thanks, Souther Tier Pumpking. This ale pours a deep orange with two fingers of off-white head. The aroma of this pumpkin beer is of pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and malts. The flavor is pumpkin spice, cinnamon light clove, sweetness, and malts., This beer is somewhat light on the mouth. Then it has a pumpkin spice syrup finish. Then it has a semi-sweet cinnamon-spiced aftertaste. This Harvest Time is not good, it’s a D-. I didn’t enjoy this nor am I recommending it. If you do like pumpkin beer then try it. But I’m not going to tell you too. It just tastes so fake and none of the flavors go well with each other, and as it warms it gets worse. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Josephs Baur Brewing Company Stockyard Oatmeal Stout

This Stockyard Oatmeal Stout is from Josephs Baur Brewing Company in San Jose, California. Josephs Baur Brewing Company Trader Joe’s beer brewing operation. This ber is 5.2% ABV. This is in the traditional Irish Stout style. This Stout pours black with a two-finger beige head that fizzes away quickly. The aroma is sweet, with coffee, roasted notes, and malts. The flavor is similar to the aroma. There are flavors of light coffee, sweetness, roasted malts, and a weird ash-like taste. Yes, I know what ash tastes like. This beer is medium on the mouth. Then it comes to a semi-sweet and light roasted finish. The aftertaste is okay. It is roasted malt there. I’ve had better Oatmeal Stouts than this Stockyard. Samual Smith Oatmeal Stout is way better than this. This Stockyard Oatmeal Stout is a D+. I did finish this beer but I didn’t think is was great. It’s a boring light on flavor type of oatmeal stout. I really didn’t feel much of the oats on this stout. I would not drink this. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

This beer from Durty Bull Brewing Company is Bangers Only. This hazy IPA is brewed in Durham, North Carolina with Strata and Nectron hops. This beer is 7% ABV. Banger Only Hazy IPA pours a hazy yellow with a three-finger white head. The head is steady to fade but does leave minimal lacing behind. The aroma is citrusy (orange/tangerine(, bitter, and hoppy. Legal Remedy Brewing Co. World Court Mocha Blonde Stout

This beer from Rock Hill, South Carolina, is World Court. This is a Mocha Blonde Stout from Legal Remedy. This beer is made with Knowledge Perk Coffee and white chocolate. This beer is 6% ABV. This stout pours a deeper yellow/orange color with a one-finger white head. The aroma is sweet with chocolate. This beer has some light coffee notes. The taste is chocolate, sweet, and smooth. The coffee flavor is faint, and I think the chocolate covers over it. This beer has a medium feel to the mouth. This beer finishes with a light coffee roast and chocolate taste. The aftertaste is more chocolate than anything else. This mocha blonde stout is okay. I would say it’s a C+. The coffee gets lost in the white Chocolate. But this is not the worst, and yes I would recommend it, but don’t seek it out! Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Beak and Skiff Apple Orchards Double, Double, Toil and Trouble Candy Corn Hard Cider

I usually don’t drink and review hard ciders, but I don’t mind them. This particular Hard Cider is Double, Double, Toil, and Trouble Candy Corn Hard Cider from Beak and Skiff Apple Orchards in Lafayette, New York. This was a Halloween gift from my Neighbors. This hard Cider is 6.9% ABV. This beverage has hard cider (apple), sugar, natural flavors (whatever that is and it is not explained), sulfates (to keep it fresh), and carbonation. This hard cider pours a gold color with no head. The aroma is syrupy, sweet, appley, and crisp. The flavor is cloyingly sweet, with candy corn syrup, apples, and marshmallows. This cider has a light feel to the mouth. This hard cider finishes with a candy corn syrup-like taste with a light apple flavor. This aftertaste is sweet and syrupy. This cider is not terrible, but the flavor is cloyingly sweet. I give Double, Double, Toil, and Trouble Candy Corn Hard Cider a low C-. It almost got a D+, but the initial flavor is not terrible. Beak and Skif just made that sweetness a little too much. Plus I don’t think candy corn is universally like. I know I don’t like it. So don’t have this Double, Double, Toil, and Trouble Candy Corn Hard Cider. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

New Anthem Bree Project Radical Son American Pale Ale

This is Radical Son an American Pale Ale from New Anthem Beer Project in Wilmington, North Carolina. This beer is 5.5% and brewed with Amarillo, Centennial, and Simcoe hops. This pale ale pours yellow with a two-finger white head. That head is slow to dissipate. The aroma has a rye-like spice to it. I don’t think they are using rye here. There is a bitter aroma that is slightly grassy. The flavor is rye, bitter (grass/piney, and hoppy towards the back of the mouth. This pale ale has a medium feel to the mouth. Then this beer has a light rye bitter finish. Then you get an aftertaste of light grassy bitter notes, that do not stick around long. This beer is a little below average, getting a C-. I didn’t like the rye and grassy flavors together. I like them each on their own. I wouldn’t go for Racial Son, it was not great. But was it the worst? No, but it’s just not good. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Burial Beer Bright Italian-Style Pilsner

Italian-style pilsners are simply German-style pilsners that have been dry-hopped with European hops. This maximizes the aroma without adding/imparting bitterness. This Italian Pilsner is Bright from Burial Beer in Asheville, North Carolina. This Burial Beer does not have such a long name like most of their beer. This beer has a yellow color with a three-finger steady white head. The aroma has a light bitterness to it with some sweet notes. The flavor is light with some sweet notes. The flavor of this beer is thin and crisp. It does have a refreshing quality to it. This Italian-style pilsner has a light feel in the mouth. This beer has a crisp bitter/sweet finish that lingers into the aftertaste. The aftertaste is slightly thin. Burial Beer Bight is not a terrible beer, I give this beer A B-. The dry-hopping has added a little bitterness, to this which is not terrible, but it is also not great. I would recommend Bight Italian-style pilsner. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers

Hi-Wire Brewing x Wickles Pickle Beer

Pickles aren’t something you think of when you think about beer, but they do go with beer or food that you would have along with beer. This beer is a collaboration between Hi-Wire Brewing in Asheville, North Carolina, and Wickles Pickles in Dadeville, Alabama. This beer is Wickles’s Pickle beer and is 5% ABV. This Pickle beer is a sour beer with cucumbers, dill, coriander, Himalayan Sea Salt, and black pepper. I have had one or two other pickle beers, and I enjoy pickles a lot. The flavor is sour and lightly spiced. This beer has a light pickled flavor. This beer finishes with a sourness and a salted note. The pickle flavor grows in the aftertaste. Wickles Pickle Beer starts okay and gets better in the aftertaste. This pickle beer is a C+. I have had better versions of this, not that this was terrible. Martin House Brewing Best Made Pickle Beer is a better pickle beer. But I still would recommend this pickle beer. I just would rush for it. Please stay safe, be kind to one another, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
