  • Thursday, February 14th. Amélie’s & Birdsong Collab & Dessert Pairing. Birdsong Brewing. 5 pm-7pm. Join us on Thursday, February 14th from 5-7p for a special Birdsong and Amélie’s French Bakery & Café beer release and pairing in honor of Valentine’s Day! Amélie’s will be on site to pass out samples of their delicious hazelnut torte to pair with a duo of imperial stouts being released that very same day!

    We will be releasing both Prehistoric Dog Barrel Aged Imperial Stout and Turtles on Pterodactyls Barrel Aged Imperial Stout on draft and in cans at 3pm that day!

    Amélie’s is a French bakery and café located in Charlotte NC, Rock Hill SC and Atlanta GA. Their mission is to foster a feast for the senses and unique experience for each and every person that walks through their doors

    Join us for our Anti-Valentines Day Get Together on Thursday 2.14.19 from 4-10pm.
    We will have flights of our brand new S’mores Stout, Hibiscus Honey Balm Saison & Dragonfruit Passionfruit Sour. That day only we will be bringing back our beloved Strawberry Swirl It! and pouring Good Morning Vietnam infused with Caramel Oreo Brownies! Boozy, sugar coma warning warranted with this one…
    A local Caricature Artist will be drawing portraits if you are in need a good laugh from 6-8pm.

She will have all the supplies you’ll need to create your own talisman of contempt over your Single AF status, including lots of different colors and embellishments to focus your energy on!   • Friday, February 15th. Beer Release: Bantu Blaze Coffee Brown (Gluten Free Ingredients). Blue Blaze Brewing. 4 pm-9 pm. We’re excited to release Bantu Blaze Coffee Brown in draught. It’s a 4.5% bantu beer that was brewed using all gluten-free ingredients. This unique beer boasts a universe of complex flavors including hints of tart, oats, and coffee, and has a lingering hop finish.

    Made with all gluten-free ingredients, Bantu is an alcoholic beverage common throughout Africa (and other parts of the world) that has been made with millet or sorghum. This 4.5% beer was brewed using 100% gluten-free ingredients, such as millet, oats, etc. and infused it with local Enderly Coffee Company so that it comes across superbly nice as a coffee brown ale without many of the sour notes that are typical of gluten-free beers. As any gluten-free dieter will tell you, it is incredibly difficult to find a gluten-free beer that tastes great … but we think we’ve found it!

    Independently lab tested at under 10ppm gluten (max. 20ppm) and Made in a Gluten Facility.

  • Friday, February 15th. Hop Cakes Release. NoDa Brewing Company. 2 pm-10 pm. Pour yourself a stack of Imperial IPA goodness soaked in lots and lots of delicious Vermont maple syrup. Then put down your axe, loosen your suspenders and enjoy sweet, citrus, hops and resin flavors in this special release treat. Enjoy immediately (do not cellar). And feel free to come back for seconds!

    Available in cans and on draft, this 10.2% brew is one you don’t want to miss! While you’re here, enjoy some grub from TIN Kitchen, a tour at 6 pm and live music at 7 pm

  • Saturday, February 16th Azacca Acid Test Release. Triple C Brewing Company. 12 pm-10 pm. The third release in our Acid Test Series is coming soon!

    4.7% ABV- Kettle soured and loaded with Azacca Hops, this is a tart and refreshing ale with dank tropical fruit hoppiness.

    Draft, 16 oz cans and 32 crowlers will be for sale. New Wrap Order food truck will be in the house and Hunter’s Travesty playing from 5-8.

  • Saturday, February 16th. Rainbow Dust IPA Can Release. Sycamore Brewing Company. 12 pm-10 pm. Magic in a Can! Bursting with Six Rare Hops for Pure Hoppy Happiness. Expect Ripe Melon, Berry and Tropical Fruits.

    Join us for an Oyster Roast at Sycamore, too!

  • Sunday, February 17th. No Brainer IPA Release Party. Brewers at 4001 Yancey. 11 am-10 pm. No Brainer IPA is here! Be one of the first to try it and make sure you stock up.

    Beer taps when we open and we’ll have The Office trivia at 5 pm, giveaways, tons of board games, music, food and everything else you need for a perfect no-brainer Sunday!

    No Brainer IPA features a special selection of fruity, citrusy hops, real, all-natural hop flavor and delicious tangerine and mandarin orange notes. Our brewers spent months developing this brew to make sure it was the perfect formula for any IPA lover, no matter the occasion, no matter the day.

    We’ll be celebrating the release in style with a Sunday Funday full of trivia, games, great giveaways, food, fun and much more!

  • Monday, February 18th. February Pints for Purpose! NoDa Brewing Company. 12 pm-9 pm. As part of our Pints For Purpose Fundraising series, we are thankful for Noda Brewing Company to be included in their “You Drink, We Donate” program scheduled for 2/18/19!

    Mark your calendars as it’s a holiday and you’ll have all day to hang out, socialize, eat and have a few drinks while learning about what our charity has to offer!

  • Thursday, February 7th,  Burial Tap Takeover. Carolina Beer Temple. 12 pm-11:30 pm. Tickets by eventbrite.com. Burial is kind of a hot brewery right now. If by kinda hot, you mean blazingly hot with the fire of a thousand suns. And it is easy to see why. Fantastic beer after a fantastic beer is always a good thing, and the guys over at Burial never fail to deliver. So we have invited them to come in from the cemetery and into the Temple, to share some of their best brews with our incredible congregation.

  • Friday, February 8th. Almost Heaven Release! The Unknown Brewing Company. 6pm. Come out Friday, Feb. 8th as we get ready for Valentine’s day with this sensual beer! Made with decadent berries and creamy white chocolate! You will think you were Almost in Heaven. Thanks to our brewers for being good sports for the label!! Available in 16oz cans and kegs.
    We will also have amazing and romantic keyboard music and indulge yourself in lemon and raspberry macarons from Le Macaron French Pastries Charlotte !!!

 

 

  • Friday, February 8th. Sally’s Rosemary Saison Pilot Batch Release. Triple C Brewing Co. 4 pm-10 pm. A blend of Belgian and French yeasts provide an earthy and slightly peppery taste that compliments the late addition of rosemary in this highly drinkable Saison.

  • Saturday, February 9th. Strawberry Seduction – Can Release. Lenny Boy Brewing Company. 11 am-11 pm. Strawberry Seduction is making its return just in time for Valentine’s Day. We use cold-pressed strawberries to unveil a sweet and tart flavor profile in this sour ale. Come by the Taproom on Saturday, Feb 9th and be the first to try our seducing strawberry sour. It’s sure to steal your heart.

    Strawberry Seduction will be available in 4-packs and on draft at the Taproom. We will also put some of this sour in distribution around North Carolina and South Carolina.

  • Thursday, January 31st. Seasonal Release: Hazy Sexy Cool New England IPA! Birdsong Brewing Co. 3 pm-10 pm. Back by VERY popular demand, we’re reintroducing our New England Style IPA, Hazy Sexy Cool, as a seasonal this year! We first released Hazy Sexy Cool last year as part of our IPA series and it was so popular that we’ve decided to bring it back and keep it around a little longer!

    Hazy Sexy Cool will release in the tap room at 3pm on Thursday, 1/31/19! Look for it around town at local shops starting the following week!

    Hazy, sexy, and cool. We’ve been making hazy, unfiltered beer for years, long before the haze craze and love for the New England style IPA, but why not really haze it up? Brewed with Citra, Mosaic & El Dorado hops, this IPA is sure to deliver all that citrusy juiciness we’ve come to know and love.  

 

  • Thursday, January 31st. Fist Monthly Battle of the Brews. Carolina Beer Temple Charlotte. 6 pm-9 pm. Tickets at eventbrite.com. Well, all of the breweries will leave, but only one gets to win! This marks our first monthly BATTLE OF THE BREWS, where 3 breweries from across the country battle for YOUR vote! Here’s how it works. Three breweries each pick one of their best beers. For one night only, all three will be on tap and available for your enjoyment. Whichever beer sells the most or kicks their keg first wins, and earns a guaranteed tap at the Temple for the next whole month. They also are guaranteed the chance to defend their title of Grand Brewery Champion at the next month’s battle! So come on out, support your favorites, meet reps from the brewery, and have a great time, all the while helping us crown a winner.

  • Friday, February 1st. Beer Release Purple Blaze Common Lager. Blue Blaze Brewing. 2 pm-10 pm. Join us for the re-release of Purple Blaze Common Lager in a super small batch on draught only. This is our interpretation of the California common, or steam, style of lager that is truly American in origin.

    What’s in a name? The purple color refers to when people of different political stripes come together for the common good. California common, or steam, style of beers were very popular with working-class folks during the 1800s and early 1900s.

    We’ll have local food truck The Plated Palette at 6pm.

  • Saturday, February 2nd. Beer for Breakfast! A Donut and Beer Pairing Part Deux! Pop the Top Bottle Shop. 10 am-1 pm. **UPDATE** Beers and Donuts finalized below!!
    We’re back at it and doing another collab pairing of beer and donuts from Your Mom’s Donuts! See below for the pairings. After getting through January, what better way to celebrate than with the best selection of curated beer and donuts from your favorite bottle shop?!?! Deets below:

    The Lineup:
    – Burial Beer Co. collab with WeldWerks Brewing Company Tessellation of Space Moroccan Coffee Spiced Imperial Stout. Brewed with lactose, Jamaican allspice, nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon, and star anise. *Suggested donut pairing will be a Dark Chocolate Ganache and crystalized ginger crumble donut.
    – Catawba Brewing Company – Charlotte Peanut Butter Chocolate Stout with whole roasted NC peanuts & Madagascar Vanilla Beans. *Suggested donut pairing will be a Peanut Butter, banana, and bacon donut.
    – Wooden Robot Brewery Good Morning Vietnam Coffee Blonde Ale. *Suggested donut pairing will be a citrus curd donut.
    – Foothills Brewing People’s Cherry Porter aged in bourbon barrels with tart cherries from the Pacific NW. *Suggested donut pairing will be a Vanilla Bean icing and pistachio crumble donut.

    A few items to know for the event:
    > A flight of 4 beers (4 5oz. tasters) from the above-suggested pairings as well as any flight of beers will run at $13.
    > Each beer above will also be available to purchase individually as either a 16oz. or 10oz. pour (depending on the ABV of the beer) that can be enjoyed with any of the donuts
    > The event will go until all donuts are finished, but the beer will continue to pour until closing time at 11pm

  • Saturday, February 2nd. Can Release: Double Blaze Black IPA. Blue Blaze Brewing. 2 pm-7 pm. We are releasing Double Blaze Black IPA in cans for the first time in an exclusively small batch! Outside of the available kegs, we will only can one round in the amount of roughly 40 cases. 
    When hiking, double blazes indicate a junction of two trails, sharp turn, or caution. For our Double Blaze Black IPA (ABV 6.1%), we brought together the mash profile of a porter & hop profile of an IPA to form something unique & delicious: balanced citrus hop flavors & tropical aromas, packed tightly into a medium‐body dark ale.

  • Sunday, February 3rd Sour Draft Kids – Beer Release. Legion Brewing. 10 am-8 pm. The Kids are taking over! Sour Draft Kids will be in the taproom on Sunday, February 3rd, after making its debut at Queen City Brewers Festival the day before. This kettle sour is a mix of sweet and fruity with a tart, mouth-watering effect that will bring back those fond childhood memories.

    This event is fun for the whole family! We’ll be serving up a special Sour Patch Kids Mocktail for our younger friends, plus they’ll have the opportunity to decorate the chalk walls with their illustrations of Sour Patch Kids.

 

  • Monday, February 4th. Früh Bock Release. The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. 11 am- 10pm. Früh is “bock” on Monday, February 4th! Join us for the release of our spring seasonal. 
    “Früh” (pron. “froo”) means “early” in German, and is also short for “Frühling,” meaning “spring.” Our seasonal “Spring Bock” captures the promise of warmer days ahead, combining a slight malty sweetness with a refreshing touch of citrus aroma from its noble Bavarian hops. The result is an amazingly fresh, crisp beer that masks a higher alcohol content in its smooth character. Big bodied and warm enough for chilly evenings, but bright and aroma-hop forward enough to compliment beers on the patio.

    Like all OMB beers, Früh Bock is all-natural — brewed in strict accordance with the famous German beer purity law of 1516: the “Reinheitsgebot.” In line with Reinheitsgebot, it was brewed using natural carbonation from the pure CO2 produced by the yeast during fermentation. We pull our brews from our lager tanks weekly, so you know it’s fresh. And, it was kept cold from production to delivery to you, because all beer should be kept cold to maximize freshness. We hope you enjoy this pure, fresh, cold beer. Prost!

  • Thursday, January 24th. Canned Beer Appreciation Day. Carolina Beer Temple. 12 pm-11:30 pm. Tickets at Eventbrite.com. In November of 1933, preparing for the upcoming repeal of Prohibition, Gottfried Krueger Brewing produced the first beer ever packaged in cans. Now, more than eight decades later, the idea of so many of our favorite beers not being available in cans is absolutely unthinkable. So help us celebrate the humble beer can in the only way we know how: by drinking its contents! All day we will be offering 20% off of any canned beer in the store. That’s right, no matter the beer, the brewer, or the style, all canned beer will be 20% off! We will also be waving any corkage fees for canned beer consumed on-premise for the entire day. After all, doesn’t canned beer deserve a little respect and admiration?

 

  • Thursday, January 24th. All Dogged Up at GoodRoad Ciderworks. 5 pm-7 pm. Join All Dogged Up EVERY Thursday night from 5 pm-7 pm at Good Road Ciderworks for grooming services provided in our grooming truck parked on-site. The following services available on a first come basis:

  • Friday, January 25th. Ry Smile Pilot Batch Release. Triple C Brewing Company. 4 pm-10 pm. The rustic, spicy character of the rye malt makes this pale ale something special. Balanced with Chinook and Citra hops, adding citrus and pine flavors.
  • Friday, January 25th. Beer Release: Blueway Keller Pils. Blue Blaze Brewing. The first-time release of Blueway Keller Pils (5.4%) in a super small batch on draught only. This golden, unfiltered German-style pilsner is so refreshing and tasty finishing up with a mild, zippy hoppiness from the noble hops. It’s .. ahem .. a killer pils!
    We’ll have local food truck A Taste of Culture at 5pm.

    What’s in a name? A blueway is a water trail for outdoor recreationalists, such as kayakers.

  • Friday, January 25th. Captain Peanut Butter’s Chocolate Revenge Release. NoDa Brewing Co. 2 pm-10 pm. A big, malty and smooth Imperial Porter brewed with a massive load of cocoa nibs to give dark chocolate notes and roasted peanut butter to add a rich twist to this imposing dark beer.

    Join us as we open early to kick off the chance to get this deliciously rich brew! Plus, while you’re here, enjoy grub from TIN Kitchen!

 

  • Saturday, January 26th. Breakfast in Heaven – Can Release. Lenny Boy Brewing Co. 11 am-11 pm. We finally packaged our annual BBA stout – Breakfast in Heaven. Little different format, 12oz 4-packs cans for $14.99. Sales start at 11am in the Taproom.

    Breakfast in Heaven is a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout aged in Heaven Hills barrels with Madagascar vanilla beans, Counter Culture Coffee, cacao nibs, and lactose. 10% ABV. This bourbon barrel beer combines careful blending and proper aging to create a complex, enjoyable beer. The Imperial Stout base is thick and creamy – great flavors of vanilla and chocolate with subtle notes of dark fruit. 

 

  • Saturday, January 26th. Cajun Stout Release. Triple C Brewing Company. 12 pm- 10 pm. Cajun Stout is a robust stout brewed with dark malts and a hint of cayenne pepper! Draft and crowler/growerls fills.

    New Wrap Order Food Truck on site. Pluto for Planet will be jamming in the taproom from 5-8.

 

  • Sunday, January 27th. Discovery Place Bug Lab comes to Birdsong! Birdsong Brewing Co. 12 pm-3 pm. This one’s for the kids but don’t worry, we’ve got plenty of delicious beer for the adults!

    We’re excited to welcome Discovery Place Science back to Birdsong for some family fun w/ their Bug Lab mobile exhibit! d Beer
    The event is free and will be on 1/27/19 from 12p-3p! Here are some examples of the activities we’ve got planned:

  • Friday, January 18th. Small Batch Release. Ced Clay Ciderworks. 3 pm-11 pm. This month’s small batch is a play on the classic drink, Gin & Juice; juniper, coriander, OJ and lime semi-dry.

 

  • Friday, January 18th, NoDable Release: Dr. Juice’s Hops on Pop. 3 pm-10 pm. Each month, we release several brand new brews as part of our “NoDable” Series on Fridays. This week’s brew is our Dr. Juice’s Hops on Pop. A Juicy IPA brewed with Citra, Mosaic and Summit hops, making it a hoppy and citrus forward beer. We’re thrilled to note that the malt in this brew comes from two local NC companies. The base grain is a 2-Row grain — called Carolina Gold — from Carolina Malt House, Inc. (grown just 30 miles from our brewery)! Additionally, this brew utilizes Epiphany Wheat malt from Epiphany Craft Malt.

    While you’re here, be sure to try a few of our 25+ brews and some TIN Kitchen for dinner. And, don’t forget you can take this week’s NoDable and many of our other beers to-go in a crowler!

  • Thursday, January 10th. Honey Pie Double IPA Release! Birdsong Brewing Co. 3 pm-10 pm. It’s no secret that our Honey Pie Double IPA is often referred to as “Heaven in a glass.” In this limited release brew, a solid malt foundation is complemented by a generous amount of locally harvested honey from Cloister Honey, and you guessed it… HOPS! Our unique blend of hops will deliver you aromas of honeydew and grapefruit, and will have you pouring the second beer before you’ve finished the first!

    Join us for the release of Honey Pie Double IPA on 1/10/19! CANS and draft will go on sale at 3pm!

Blue Blaze Brewing is re-releasing a taproom favorite, Muddy Waters American Brown Ale (5.0% ABV) in draught! This is an American brown ale that is a copper & medium body with medium roasted malt caramel-like aromas and flavors and zippy hop bitterness.

  • Friday, January 11th. River’s Edge Craft Beer Dinner featuring NoDa brewing. The U.S. National Whitewater Center. 6:30 pm-9 pm. Tickets at usnwc.org. Whitewater presents Craft Dinner, a winter dining series at River’s Edge. Featuring four courses that are uniquely off-menu, Craft Dinner tailors each course to the taste profile of four different beer samples from a local or NC-based brewery. A representative from the featured brewery will share palate notes for the culinary pairings.

  • Saturday, January 12th. Beer Release Blowout. Legion Brewing Commonwealth Ave. 12 pm-11 pm. We are kicking off the new year by tapping FIVE beers this Saturday, January 12th at Noon! Enjoy pints, or get a flight of all five for $10.

    Farmers First Coffee Company will be on site from Noon-2PM with samples of coffee, and Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company will be here from 2-5PM with samples of some of their most popular juices and some fun swag!

    Beer Lineup:

    Against the Current (Winter Saison) 7.1% ABV / 20 IBU
    Medium-amber malt, Lithuanian farmhouse yeast, and a hefty 7.1% ABV lend a warm spice note to this Winter Saison, balanced by a subtly tart finish from 125 pounds of black currants.

    Natalie’s Tangerine IPA (Tangerine IPA) 6.9% ABV / 75 IBU
    Citrus-forward West Coast style IPA with pronounced bitterness balanced by a roundness from Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company and a dry, refreshing finish leaving you wanting another drink

    The Orange Chick (Hoppy Saison) 5.5% ABV / 20 IBU
    This hoppy farmhouse ale was carefully hopped with Citra and has notes of orange peel, vanilla, and a Witbier-like citrusy aroma

    Emiliano’s Andean Bock (Coffee Bock) 5.8% ABV / 20IBU
    Brewed for the cold bite of winter and brewed in collaboration with our friends at Farmers First Coffee Company, this dark, malty beer has notes of toffee, and hints of chocolate and hazelnut

    Brown Paper Bag (American Light Lager) 4.4% ABV / 15 IBU
    Classic American Light Lager served as cold as the Appalachians. Brewed exclusively with North Carolina grown malt and non-GMO grits from our friends at Old School Mill. 

 

  • Saturday, January 12th, Charlotte Brew’d Tapping: Coffee Blonde and Porter.  Brewers at 4001 Yancey 12 pm-2 pm. Join us for the tapping of our Charlotte Brew’d Victory Coffee Blonde and Southern Tier Porter!

    Enderly Coffee will be here to sample and talk about the roast used in the Coffee Blonde and we’ll have some fun giveaways.

Boost your beer IQ and prepare for the Certified Beer Server exam with this fun, and interactive class put on by the Cicerone® Certification Program—the leaders in beer service certification and training.

    • Smell hops from the US and Europe
    • Taste and study six foundational beer styles

  • Monday, January 7th. Beer Education – Off Flavor Class. Pilot Brewing. 4:45 pm-7:45 pm. Taste the flaws in beer when proper care is not taken, learn how they form and how to control them in your fermentation. Join our Advanced Cicerone®, Jen Blair, as she guides you through a set of four off-flavors commonly found in beer.

  • Tuesday, January 8th. Stout Week. Bold Missy Brewery. 10 pm. We don’t know about you, but here at the Bold Missy Brewery, we LOVE stouts – especially during the colder months! We’ve selected eight awesome NC breweries to showcase during our first ever Stout Week!

    Each day during the week, we will put two of these very special beers on tap. If by chance they don’t kick on their assigned day, any remaining beers will be available on Saturday the 12th. So, what we’re basically saying is that if you see something you want, you better come to try it when you can!

  • Wednesday, December 26th. Twas the Day After Christmas. Blue Blaze Brewing. 2 pm -9 pm. Twas’ the Day after Christmas & Santa’s Elves needed beer … they pulled on their stockings & headed out with cheer!

    They knew where to go – for they were Blue Blaze bound … with $10.00 pitchers they could each buy a round!

    The Elves enjoyed s’mores by the fire & live music inside …. sampling some of the best beers they’ve ever tried!

    At the end of the night, the Elves parted ways … with ‘hoppy holidays to all, & to all a great day’!

    From 2:30 – 5:30, enjoy live music by the talented violinist, Sandy Herrault. Enjoy authentic European style dishes from Strudelteig Food Truck. Wine, local craft cider, and non-alcoholic options are available.

    Your favorite Blue Blaze New England style hazy, SoBo Orangerine Hazy IPA, is back and in only a couple of sixtels! All naturally made from only water, yeast, malt, hops, and oranges. If our employee Christmas party is any judge, it won’t last long 😋
    We’ll also be offering beermosas in flutes or tulips made with this beer, only on the 22nd and 26th during our events those days.

    Our second annual, “Don’t Hate It, Donate It” drive starts today! If you’ve found yourself with unwanted gifts or items you’d like to donate, bring them to Blue Blaze! We are collecting everything from new to gently used apparel, outdoor gear, recreational items, toys, kitchen appliances, and more! All donated items will go to The Salvation Army of Greater Charlotte. The drive will run from December 26th – January 13th.

  • Saturday, December 29th. Apple Pie Barleywine Release. Catawba Brewing Company. 12 pm-11 am. On December 29th we will unveil the biggest beer yet to emerge from our Barrel Program – BA #4 Apple Pie Barleywine. This delicious beer is an Apple Pie lovers dream come true! Aged for 32 months in bourbon barrels, it features additions of Carolina apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar and weighs a hefty 12% ABV.

  • Tuesday, January 1st. New Year’s Day Party & Glowed Up Brut IPA Release! 10 am-8 pm. Join us for our 4th annual New Year’s DAY Party!! The party starts at 10am and lasts until your hangover is officially cured! We’re also excited to release our brand new Brut IPA, Glowed Up!

    We’ll stock the bagel bar with fresh bagels and an assortment of cream cheeses from Owen’s Bagel and Deli and we’ll be providing locally roasted coffee from Central Coffee Co.! The coffee and bagels will be on us (for as long as they last) and we’ll be accepting donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina if you feel so inclined! We will also be donating a portion of bar sales to this awesome, local community organization!

    We’re spicing it up w/ Jalapeño Pale Ale Bloody Beers, Fun Beer-Mosas, and of course, our new Brut IPA called Glowed Up! Draft and 4 packs of cans of Glowed Up will go on sale at 10a! Hope you can join!

  • Thursday, December 13th. New Beer Thursday: Winter Warmer Release. Catawba Brewing Company. 3 pm- 10 pm. Just as this name implies, this beer will warm you up with one sip!

 

  • Friday, December 14th. Weihnachtsmarkt. Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. 4 pm-9 pm. OMB is the place to gather with friends, drink fresh beer, shop for gifts and celebrate the holiday season!

    Friday, November 30th is going to be one festive day at OMB with the release of Yule Bock, a visit from Santa Claus and the launch of Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas Market). Weihnachtsmarkt will then continue for the first three Friday/Saturdays in December. Now in its 7th year, Weihnachtsmarkt is a Charlotte holiday tradition full of joy and community.

    This year, we’ll have over 45 vendors each weekend – our largest market ever! Some vendors will be in traditional wooden huts, but all will be decorated to the max and full of local crafts and baked goods. Like the Christmas Markets of Nuremberg, Germany, OMB’s Weihnachtsmarkt will also have fresh beer on tap (including our winter seasonal brews Dunkel & Yule Bock) and Gluhwein (pron. “Gloo-vine”), a mulled red wine served hot and fresh.

    Cider maker Jay Bradish and cheese expert Rachel Klebaur will be on hand to walk you through four different pairings, each with their own delectable panache.

  • Saturday, December 15th, Double Fudge Brownie Imperial Stout Release. 12 pm-11 pm. Sycamore Brewing. Rich chocolate fudge! We loaded this massive stout with hundreds of pounds of decadent Belgian Chocolate!

 

  • Saturday, December 15th. Monstro Bottle Release. 11 am-10 pm. NoDa Brewing Company. Neptune said to the sea there should be a terrible Monstro, born from its deepest depths. It should be stout with the strength of a whale. This is that beer… of toasted barley mass, rounded out by vanillas, molasses, and oak of bourbon barrel aging. Enjoy the deep.

    Join us as we release a VERY LIMITED amount of this gigantic beer in its original bottle form. Because it will be so limited, be sure to get here early and then hang out for grub from TIN Kitchen and a free tour at 4 pm! 

 

  • Tuesday, December 18th. NoDable Release: Kwagalana African Lager. 4 pm-9 pm. NoDa Brewing Company. Every single week, we release a brand new “NoDable” beer on Tuesday. This week’s brew is our Unfiltered Lager inspired by popular beer trends in southern Africa. It’s a clean and refreshing lager base with flaked corn to increase a clean mouthfeel. Spiced with wildflower honey and ginger, this beer will have you feeling so fresh and so clean!

    Plus, $1 of every beer will be donated to the Henry Kalungi Foundation! Kwagalana means “love one another,” and by buying this beer you’ll be doing just that in support of this amazing charity.

    While you’re here, be sure to try a few of our 25+ brews and some TIN Kitchen for dinner. And, don’t forget you can take this week’s NoDable and many of our other beers to-go in a crowler!
