  • Thursday, November 5th. Triple can Release. Divine Barrel Brewing. 12 pm-10 pm.

We’ve got three brand new beers for you releasing this Thursday when we open at noon, including two crazy collabs! First, we brewed a new version of Ice Cream Paint Job with our friends from Kings Brewing Company, and the other is a west coast dipa called Versed in Bird Law, brewed with our friends at Cushwa Brewing Company! Finally, we’ll have a crushable oatmeal stout called We’re Out of Coffee, James! We’ll have all three of these beers on draft as well, so come give them a try and take some 4-packs home with you!
Versed in Bird Law: West Coast Double IPA, 9.3% ABV, 110 IBUs – Brewed in collaboration with Cushwa Brewing Company. This bombastic bitterboi was treated to a massive helping of Mosaic, Citra, El Dorado & Amarillo hops. Much like Charlie Kelly, this vibrant DIPA is incredibly smooth with notes of grapefruit, orange zest and resin, which lends a pleasant bitterness throughout. You’ll be playing nightcrawlers with your best friend in no time after trying this hoppy treasure!

The resulting beer has notes of rich salted caramel, roasty coffee and dark chocolate.
$14.99 + taxIce Cream Paint Job: Pastry Berliner, 4.8% ABV – Brewed in collaboration with Kings Brewing Company. • Friday, November 6th. “Black is Beautiful” Black IPA with Strawberry & Lactose Beer Release. Town Brewing Company. 2 pm.

Black is Beautiful”
Black IPA with Strawberry and Lactose
6.9%
~Strawberry-Chocolate-Hoppy~Hopped as a NEIPA, we added a heavy dose of Belma, Mandarina Bavaria, Mosaic, El Dorado, and Citra to this Black IPA to impart citrus and berry notes, further enhanced by the addition of over 500 lbs of juicy strawberries in the fermenter. Mild roast and chocolate notes compliment the strawberry and hop-derived citrus aromas, and a subtle addition of lactose provides just enough body and residual sweetness to create a unique interpretation of the increasingly less common Black IPA style.Black Is Beautiful Black IPA with Strawberry & Lactose will be released at our taproom on Friday November 6th starting at 2pm.Draft only (or crowlers and growlers to go). This beer was born in collaboration with L.A. McCrae, activist and founder of Black Star Line Brewing of Henderson, NC that sadly closed in 2017. We reimagined a popular Black Star Line recipe to produce a juicy, medium-bodied, fruited Black IPA. L.A. was a panelist on our Many Faces Diversity Panel which aired in July, and we have been itching to work together again to continue the conversation and to continue to demonstrate our commitment to both racial justice and to building a more diverse craft beer landscape.100% of net proceeds from the sale of this beer will benefit “Unknown and Forgotten Pain” This newly formed non-profit is a movement centering on the healing of black family members who have lost loved ones to police violence. Founded by Najiyyah, the mother of Jerry Williams who was killed by Asheville Police in 2016, “Unknown and Forgotten Pain” raises awareness to the profound human cost of losing a loved one to police violence. Najiyyah joined us on the brew day, sharing with us her story and her memories of her son Lil’ Jerry. Her strength is nothing short of inspirational. In the wake of her son’s death, she has raised his children, all while dealing with the intense grief of losing her son – grief that remains raw every day as we continue to be flooded with new stories of people of color losing their lives to police violence.
