Sugar Creek Brewing Company Unlimited Juicy East Coast India Pale Ale

This beer Unlimited Juice from Sugar Creek Brewing Company, is a new seasonal beer for the Charlotte, North Carolina-based brewery. It is a slight departure from their Belgian beers. This IPA is 6.5% ABV. I saw this beer on the brewery’s Instagram, then a few weeks later, it showed up at my local grocery store. This beer has IPA Cascade, Citra, and Simcoe hops. This beer pours a hazy/cloudy yellow color with a two-finger fluffy white head. The aroma is juicy tropical and citrus fruits with a bitter note. The flavor is juicy with orange, pineapple, melon, and bitter notes. It has a good balance of fruits and bitterness. There is a yeasty and light creamy taste too. The mouthfeel is medium. Then this beer comes to a bitter, juicy tropical fruity finish. Then you get a tropical fruit salad aftertaste. This beer is fabulous, and I highly recommend it. I give Unlimited Juicy an A+. This IPA is refreshing and easy to drink. This IPA is well balanced between fruity and bitterness. It is a warm-weather beer. So Go and get yourself some. Elysian Brewing Company Full Contact Imperial Hazy IPA

This beer, brewed in Seattle, Washington, is Full Contact Imperial Hazy IPA. This beer is brewed by Elysian Brewing Company and comes in at 8.8% ABV. This big IPA has 2-Row, Malted Wheat, and Unsalted Wheat malts. This beer also has Centennial, Simcoe, Strata, and more. Elysian didn’t say what more is. But I think there may be Citra hops too. This IPA pours a yellow color with a two-finger white head. The aroma is fruity, citrusy, dank, boozy, and bitter. The taste is alcoholic, and fruity with tangerine and orange. There is a dankness to this beer with bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium. This beer finishes with a dank, bitter, citrus flavor. The aftertaste is bitter, orange/tangerine, and boozy. I found Full Contact to be average and not that strong. I would give it a C. It wasn’t bad, but nothing was memorable. I would pass on this beer next time. NoDa Brewing Company Lil Slurp Hazy India Pale Ale

I had the Imperial version of this IPA, Big Slurp. This beer is Lil Slurp Juicy India Pale Ale from NoDa Brewing Company in Charlotte, North Carolina. This beer is 6.0% This Lil Surp comes in twelve ounces six-pack, whereas Big Slurp cam in a sixteen-ounce four-pack. This beer has Sultana, Exp 17701, Mosaic, Strata, and Citra hops used in this IPA. This IPA pours a hazy bright yellow with a two-finger white head. The aroma is juicy tropical/citrus fruit. You get oranges, orange peels, and pineapple. The smell is also bitter. The taste/flavor is juicy with tropical and citrus fruit such as orange, pineapple, mango, and bitter notes. The beer’s mouthfeel is medium, but it does coat your mouth. Then it has a juicy fruit finish and a bitter/fruit aftertaste. This Lil Slurp IPA is very delicious. I give this IPA an A+. I highly recommend Lil Slurp as well as its Imperial version Big Slurp. I have previously reviewed Big Slurp. This beer, however, isn’t as big on bitterness or alcohol as Big Slurp. Olde Mecklenburg Brewer Unfourseen India Pale Ale

This here is a new beer from Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. This beer is from Charlotte, North Carolina. This beer is Unforeseen India Pale Ale. It is 6.8%. This beer has water, hops, malts, and hops (Simcoe, Callista, Centennial, and Solero). This beer is the brewery’s first IPA. This IPA pours a dark orange color with a three-finger white head. The aroma is bitter, dank, grapefruit, and hoppy. The flavor is hoppy, dank, bitter, resiny, and citrusy (grapefruit/orange). The mouthfeel is medium. Then it comes to a dank/bitter finish with some light citrus. Then you’ll get an aftertaste of bitterness, grapefruit, and hoppy notes. This beer is a delicious IPA. I give Unfourseen an A+. It delivers and has a good flavor profile. This beer is not overwhelming with any one flavor. I recommend this IPA. Goose Island Beer Co. Hazy Beer Hug

This beer Hazy Beer Hug is part of the Goose Island Beer Co. Beer Hug series. This Hazy IPA is 6.8% ABV. This IPA has Amarillo, Galaxy, and Nelson hops. This IPA pours a light yellow/orange color. It also has a one-finger white head. It quickly dissolves. The aroma is fruity (pears, peaches, and white/green grapes) and bitter/hoppy. The flavor is also fruity with green grapes, peaches, and pears. This beer is hoppy and bitter. The mouthfeel is slightly medium. Then it finishes with a bitter fruit flavor. Then comes a bitter aftertaste that quickly turns fruity just as the aftertaste fades away. This Hazy Beer Hug was average, not a terrible beer, but not great. I would give this hazy IPA from Goose Island Beer Co. a C. I didn’t find any of the flavors off-putting or terrible. It just did not wow me. I would recommend it for its boring. Widmer Brothers Brewing Company Green Skies Hazy IPA

Widmer Brothers Brewing Company makes Green Skies Hazy IPA. It is 6.6% ABV. It has malts such as Pale, Steam 10, Superior Flaked Barley, and Superior Flaked Oats. It also has Bru-1, Sabro, and Citra hops. This beer is from in Portland, Oregon. This IPA pours a hazy orange color with a one-finger white head. The aroma is grassy with citrus fruit, bitter, and hoppy. The flavor is grassy with light orange/grapefruit, onion, and hoppy bitterness. The mouthfeel is light/medium. Then it has a bitter fruity finish. Then you get an aftertaste of bitter grassy flavors. This IPA was not as tasty as stated on the side of the can. I would give Green Skies a C-. It has a below-average overall taste/flavor to it. I wouldn’t recommend this. Nothing was terrible about his IPA. It was just boring. So boring that I can advise you to try it if you haven’t. Revelry Brewing Highly Tangible Session India Pale Ale

This beer is Highly Tangible. It is a session India Pale Ale directly from Revelry Brewing brewer in Charleston, South Carolina. It is 5% ABV, with Tangerine & Nectarine. This beer pours a bight, cloudy yellow with some fruit bits floating in it. It has a two-and-a-half finger white head. The aroma is fruity and lightly bitter. The taste is of juicy tangerines/nectarines, bitterness, and a light tart note on the back of the tongue. The beer’s flavor is also dry. The mouthfeel is somehow light/medium. Then this IPA comes to a fruity dry bitterness. Then you come to an aftertaste that is also dry. But less dry with some tangerine and nectarine flavor. This beer is a delicious fruity/juicy IPA. I give Highly Tangible Session India Pale Ale an A. The only negative about this beer is that the fruity flavor becomes slightly too much by the end. But it is good otherwise. The flavors all go nicely with each other. I also found this IPA refreshing and not overly hoppy or bitter. I could have a few of these, and I think you should too. Goose Island Beer Co. Christmas IPA

This beer is a little late for review. But when you buy new beer, the older beers end up in the back. This beer is Christmas IPA from Goose Island Beer Co. This Chicago beer is 7,5% ABV. It has Northern Brewer, Chinook, Mandian, and Cashmere hops. This beer also has 2-row, C-20, and Debittered black malts. This IPA pours an amber color with a two-finger beige head. The aroma is piney and bitter, and there’s cinnamon. The flavor is malt, and piney. There’s cinnamon, and it’s hoppy too. The mouthfeel is fuller. This IPA finishes with a bitter spice. The aftertaste is lightly cinnamon with a bit go bitterness. This IPA is a nice change. Because it’s not like all the IPA out there. It is more like a traditional IPA with some Christmas flavors. I give this Chairman IPA from Goose Island Beer Co. a B-. I am not a big fan of cinnamon, and it is okay/not great here. It has good bitterness that plays well with the malt flavor. Maine Beer Company Little Whaleboat India Pale Ale

Little Whaleboat India Pale Ale, from Main Beer Company, is named after three islands (Little Whale Boat, Nate, & Tuck). They are located in Casco Bay. These islands and ledges are protected by the Maine Coast Heritage Trust. This IPA is from Freeport, Maine, and is 6.5% ABV. This beer pours a cloudy yellow color with a three-finger fluffy white head. The aroma is of tropical fruit (mango & pineapple), citrus fruit, and bitterness. The flavor is lemon, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, and mango. The mouthfeel is smooth and light. Then this IPA finishes with a soft tropical and citrus flavor. Then you get an aftertaste of smooth, delectable fruits with some bitterness. This beer is a very tasty IPA. I give Little Whaleboat an A+. I highly recommend it. It has all the go fruity bitter IPA flavors. It is drinkable. I don’t think it feels like it is 6.5% ABV at all. Also, this beer does drink/taste like it is more expensive than eight dollars. I found this at my local grocery store, and I don’t see any Maine Beer Company products anywhere. If you see this, don’t hesitate to buy it! Goose Island Beer Co. Neon Beer Hug IPA

Neon Beer Hug is an IPA. It is part of a small series of beers called Beer Hug. This Neon Beer Hug is 7% ABV. There are two other Beer Hug beers besides this one. I have one other Hazy Beer Hug. I will review that beer soon. This beer comes from Goose Island Beer Co in Chicago, Illinois. This beer has Nugget, Sultana, Citra, Mosaic, and Eureka hops. This beer pours a yellow color with a two-finger white head. The aroma is bitter, hoppy, and sweet (citrusy sweetness). The flavor is also smooth, citrusy sweet, malty, and hoppy. The mouthfeel is lighter. Then this beer finishes with a bitter, hoppy, fruity flavor. Then you come to an aftertaste of bittersweet, hoppy, malty, and fruity. This beer was slightly .ess than I was expecting, so I give Neon Beer Hug a B+. It was not bad. It was thAt I was expecting more citrus and a fuller mouthfeel/body. But it was still good.
