New Anthem Bree Project Radical Son American Pale Ale

This is Radical Son an American Pale Ale from New Anthem Beer Project in Wilmington, North Carolina. This beer is 5.5% and brewed with Amarillo, Centennial, and Simcoe hops. This pale ale pours yellow with a two-finger white head. That head is slow to dissipate. The aroma has a rye-like spice to it. I don’t think they are using rye here. There is a bitter aroma that is slightly grassy. The flavor is rye, bitter (grass/piney, and hoppy towards the back of the mouth. This pale ale has a medium feel to the mouth. Then this beer has a light rye bitter finish. Then you get an aftertaste of light grassy bitter notes, that do not stick around long. This beer is a little below average, getting a C-. I didn’t like the rye and grassy flavors together. I like them each on their own. I wouldn’t go for Racial Son, it was not great. But was it the worst? No, but it’s just not good. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

This beer has a yellow color with a three-finger steady white head. The aroma has a light bitterness to it with some sweet notes. The flavor is light with some sweet notes. The flavor of this beer is thin and crisp. It does have a refreshing quality to it. This Italian-style pilsner has a light feel in the mouth. This beer has a crisp bitter/sweet finish that lingers into the aftertaste. The aftertaste is slightly thin. Burial Beer Bight is not a terrible beer, I give this beer A B-. The dry-hopping has added a little bitterness, to this which is not terrible, but it is also not great. I would recommend Bight Italian-style pilsner. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers

Martin House Brewing Best Made Pickle Beer is a better pickle beer. But I still would recommend this pickle beer. I just would rush for it. Please stay safe, be kind to one another, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

This Beer from The Vail Brewing Co. in Richmond, Virginia, is Vent3, a Triple-dry hopped West Coast style IPA. This beer is 6% ABV and is Triple-dry hopped with CTZ, Amarillo, El Dorado, and Nelson Savuin hops. You don’t see many triple-dry hop IPAs, but a few are around. The taste is fruity (more pronounced oranges) and resin/pine notes. The flavor is also soft and lightly malty. This beer has a fuller feeling in your mouth. Then comes a piney aftertaste with a bit of bitterness. The aftertaste is lightly fruity and piney. Vent3 IPA is good but I can’t really compare this to other triple-dry hopped IPAs because I haven’t had much. But as an IPA this is good, but not great. I give The Vail Brewing Company Vent3 a C+. It’s just above average. It wasn’t terrible, I enjoyed it, and it is not a beer I would tell you not to have. Please stay safe, be kind to one another, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Lenny Boy Brewing Co. Creature of Habit

This is Creature of Habit a Greman Style Helles Lager from Lenny Boy Brewing Co. This lager is 5.4% ABV and is brewed here in Charlotte, North Carolina. Helles means pale, so this is a pale lager. This lager pours a bright yellow/gold color with a two-finger bright white head. The aroma is sweet, biscuity, malty, and clean. The flavor isn’t far off from its own aroma. This beer has a sweet, malty, biscuity, and clean taste. The flavor is balanced. This beer feels light on in the mouth. Then you get a nice semi-sweet, biscuity, malted finish. The aftertaste is clean and refreshing, with a touch of malts that linger for a few seconds. This Helles Lager is good, but it’s not the world’s best, it’s a B+. I would recommend this beer. I would go for this again. It is crushable. The flavor wouldn’t overwhelm your tastebuds after a few of these. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

I don’t think it could be improved. Please stay safe, be kind to everyone, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Foothills Brewing Happyum Imperial IPA

It has been a while since I’ve had a Foothills Brewing beer. This IS Happyum Imperial IPA, which is 8.0% ABV. This beer has four different hop varieties, which I could not find out what they are. This IPA pours a semi-thick, cloudy, bright yellow color with a three-finger white head. The aroma is pineapple, citrusy orange, hoppy, and strong. The flavor is pineapple, orange, hoppy notes, and alcoholic. It is not overly strong. The mouthfeel is fuller. This Happyum Imperial IPA has a fruity and hoppy finish. Then you get some orange bitterness in the aftertaste. This is a great beer; as usual, Foothills brews great IPAs and other beers. Happyum Imperial IPA is an A+ beer. Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Barrel-Age Torpedo

Torpedo from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is their core IPA. But this beer is barrel-aged Torpedo. It is aged in bourbon barrels and is 8.6% ABV. This IPA has fresh Citra And Pacifica hops. This is a limited-release beer. This IPA pours a deep orange/copper color with a three-finger light beige head. The aroma is boozy, light vanilla, fruity, hoppy, and bitter. The flavor is boozy, tropical, fruity, light vanilla, light coconut, bitter, and hoppy. The mouthfeels medium. This IPA finishes with a fruity, earthy-bourbon flavor. That finish lingers into the aftertaste that has more boozy notes to it. I don’t see many Barrel-aged IPAs, and I think this Barrel-aged Torpedo is the first I’ve seen and tasted. This is not a terrible beer, but it’s not the best. I give this Barrel-Age Topedo a C+. It has a nice barrel flavor from the Bourbon barrel, and it doesn’t clash with the IPA, but I wouldn’t say they go great together. This is more of an interesting beer than anything else. Please stay safe, be kind to everyone, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
