Burial Beer X Resident Culture Brewing Company Beyond The Reimagination of The Extraterrestrial Occut West-Coast India Pale Ale

Here is another Burial Beer with a long name. This beer is a collaboration with Charlotte’s Resident Culture Brewing Company. This is Beyond The Reimagination of The Extraterrestrial Occult. This West-Coast IPA is 7.2% ABV and is mashed with pils. Double-dry hopped with lots of Strata and time-matched with Amarillo, Superdelic, Citra, and Strata CGX, This IPA pours a deep gold with a two-and-a-quarter white head. The beer’s aroma is hoppy, bitter, piney, and a bit of fruit. The flavor of this IPA is hoppy, woody, piney, and there is some fruit. The mouthfeel is on the high side of medium. This beer finishes with a bitterness and some citrus notes. Then you get an aftertaste of bitter, hoppy wood and citrus. This is a west-coast style IPA that I give a B-. The flavors are on the lighter side, and they should be a little more pronounced. I would like to have more citrus fruit flavors. But it’s not terrible, I would have this again, and so should you. Please stay safe, be kind to everyone, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. FOMO West Ghost IPA

West Ghost IPA from Sierra Nevada Brewing Company is a FOMO limited-release beer. My father purchased it from their brewery in Mills River, North Carolina. This IPA is 7.2% ABV and has Magnum, Idaho 7, Citra, and Amarillo hops. This beer also has Two-Row, Pale, and Carapils malts. This IPA is a throwback to a time before all the hazy IPA crazy. This beer pours a golden color with a three-finger big white head. The head is slow to fade into decent lacing. The aroma is hoppy, with orange zest, pine, and bitterness. The flavor is fruity with citrusy oranges, bitterness, hoppy, and it’s piney taste. This beer has brightness to its flavor. The mouthfeel is on the lighter side, but I don’t think I would call it a light or medium-feeling beer. This IPA comes to a bitter finish with some oranges. Then you come to a fruity, bitter aftertaste of pine flavor. West Ghost IPA is a classic West Coast IPA. This beer is an A. It is a sneaky beer because it doesn’t feel like a 7.2% ABV beer when you drink it. But I do recommend West Ghost IPA. It has a classic flavor. Please stay safe, be kind to everyone, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

NoDa Brewing Company NoDajito Witbier

NoDajito Witbier is a summertime beer from NoDa Brewing Company here in Charlotte, North Carolina. This Witbier is 4.8% ABV and has mint and fresh lime zest. If you don’t know by the name of this beer, the idea behind this beer is a Mojito. This beer pours a clear yellow, that has a light green tint to it. There is a one-and-a-half-finger white head that quickly fades. The aroma is light feeling, sweet, limey, and crisp. The flavor is lightly minty, wheat, smooth, lime, crisp, and malty. The mouthfeel is lighter. Then this witbier finishes with some sweetness and a bit of lime. Then you get a sweet lime and mint aftertaste similar to a mojito but not as strong. Overall, this is a good beer, that has a good summery flavor to it. I would say that NoDajito is a B+. The flavors overall are light, and refreshing but could be a little stronger. I recommend NoDajito Witbier. Get it soon before the some is over and it is gone. Please stay safe, be kind to everyone, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Lenny Boy Brewing Co. Tropicalus Juicy White IPA

I haven’t reviewed much from Lenny Boy Brewing Co. from Charlotte, North Carolina. They started out as a Kombucha brewer, which they still are, and then they added beer to their business. This beer is Tropicalus Juicy White IPA. This hybrid IPA is 6% ABV. I have never heard of a White IPA. This beer it is, exactly what it sounds like. This beer style combines a Belgian White Ale with an IPA. Tropicalus uses Lenny Boy’s house Belgian Yeast. This beer pours a yellow color similar to a white ale. It has a two-finger bright white head that is steady to fade into delicate lacing. The aroma is tropical fruity with banana, bitterness, and light hoppy notes. The taste is tropical fruity and banana. It is light, smooth and bitter. It is not overly bitter just lightly bitter. The mouthfeel is light to almost medium feeling. Then this beer starts to finish like a white ale then it gets more IPA-like with fruit and bitterness. The aftertaste is fruity and smooth. This is a great style of beer I’d say Tropicalus Juicy white IPA is an A+. I highly recommend it, especially if you like IPA and white Ales. Please stay safe, be kind to everyone, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Burial Beer Cognitive Indifference Towards Something More Fulfilling West Coast-Style India pale ale

This beer is from Burial Beer in Asheville, North Carolina, and has a long name like most of the beers from Burial. This one is Cognitive Indifference Towards Something More Fulfilling. This West Coast-style IPA is double dry-hopped with Grungiest, Centennial, Strata, and Citra Cryo. This IPA is 7% ABV. This beer pours a thicker yellow color with a two-and-a-quarter white head. The aroma of this IPA is Fruity, citrusy, bitter, and with a light sweet note. The beer’s flavor is citrusy, smooth, creamy, bitter, and hoppy. The hoppy level is not too high so the bitterness is not overwhelming. But the bitterness is there. Then this long-named beer finishes with a bitter citrus fruit flavor and some bitterness. Then you come to an aftertaste of grapefruit and orange bitter notes. This was more like a traditional West Coast-style IPA and that made it more drinkable, even for 7% ABV. I would give Cognitive Indifference Towards Something More Fulfilling an A+. I could not see this beer being any better. So that means you should go and drink this beer. Please stay safe, be kind to everyone, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

New Holland Brewing Dragon’s Milk Tales of Gold Bourbon-Barrel-Aged Golden Ale

This beer, a strong golden ale From New Holland Brewing, is Dragon’s Milk Tale of Gold Bourbon-Barrel-Aged Gold Ale. This Ale is made in New Holland, Michigan. This is a year-round beer made with milk sugars. This ale comes in at 11% ABV. This beer is part of the Dragon’s Milk beers. This beer pours a deep orange/light copper color with a one-and-a-half-finger white head. The aroma of this beer is sweet, vanilla, malty, and boozy. The taste is sweet from the vanilla and milk sugars. This beer has a smooth, creamy, and malty note. The mouth feels medium. Then it has a sweet malted finish. Then you get a boozy sweet aftertaste. The aftertaste has a light malt flavor that tastes faded. Dragon’s Milk Tales of Gold is not what I was expecting. I thought this beer would be strong and have a more bourbon-like flavor. This beer drinks well for 11% ABV, smoother than some beers with the same ABV. I give this bourbon-barrel-aged beer a B+. The vanilla was a bit sweeter than some barrel-aged beers. It took over the flavor profile. I would recommend New Holland Brewing Dragon’s Milk Tales Of Gold Bourbon-Barrel-Aged Golden Ale. Please stay safe, be kind to everyone, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Radeberger Gruppe Radebeberger Pilsner Zwickelbier Hazy

This imported beer from Redeberger, Germany, is Redeberger Pilsner Zwicklebier Hazy. This is produced by the Radeberger Gruppe. This beer is a Kellerbier/Zwicklebier style and is a love 4.8% ABV. This Pilsner pours a hazy, bright yellow with a three-and-a-half finger white head that slowly fades into decent-looking lacing. The aroma is light lemon, sweetness, light bread notes, and some hoppy aromas. The flavor is light, clean, happy, somewhat beady, and sweet. The mouthfeel is lighter. Then this beer finishes with a light, hoppy and sweet flavor. Then you get a nice light hopped aftertaste with a faintly sweet fruit flavor. This is a delicious beer. I give Radeberger Pilsner Zwickelbier Hazy an A. The bitterness is just a little off but doesn’t keep it from tasting delicious, and from me recommending it. This is how traditional German beer is supposed to taste. Please stay safe, be kind to everyone, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
