In Portland Oregon GrowlerWerks has taken the simple idea of a growler and taken it to a new level. A growler is a glass or stone vessel for transporting beer either with a corked, screw or swivel top. A traditional growler is either thirty-two or sixty-four ounces and keeps beer for a day once opened. That’s where the similarities end between a traditional growler and a GrowlerWerks UKEG end. GrowlerWerks UKEG uses a food grade C02 cartridge inside the cap where a pressure regulator is located above it. Once you fill a UKEG with your favorite beer from a growler filling location you turn the knob and set the C02 pressure to the correct psi according to the style of the beer. Different styles have different psi settings. The UKEG has a lockable tap handle with a site measure to see how much delicious beer is inside and a pressure gauge. It’s an awesome product because it keep the beer even fresher longer than a traditional growler would and it’s like having a draft beer. A GrowlerWerks UKEG can keep beer fresh for up to a week. This one I have here is a one hundred twenty-eight ounce UKEG which I filled with Suffolk Punch Raspberry Pool Party, 4.7% ABV is a Belgian style Wit with raspberry’s. UKEGs come in sixty-four and thirty-two ounces as well. Now a good tip for filling any growler is to fill it with a beer that you want have a lot of and one that isn’t in cans or bottles. I highly recommend this GrowlerWerks UKEG to anyone that enjoys beer, you’ll be a popular person at your next social gathering. Please enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
Ninkasi Vanilla Oatis Oatmeal Stout Deluxe Bouquet from Jet Gift Baskets in which they contacted me asking if I would review their one of their products and services, this bouquet has six Vanilla Oatis Oatmeal Stouts Homegrown Popcorn, Beer Cheese & Bourbon, sea salt and olive oil crackers, dipping pretzels (sticks), Dijon mustard and Country Archer Turkey Jerky Hickory Smoked.
an eighty dollar value. I have just posted a review of Vanilla Oatis Oatmeal Stout. The dipping pretzels were not nearly as salt as some pretzels but the Dijon mustard was good, it had a nice Dijon spice to it which sort of help the pretzels. Now the sea salt olive oil cracker had a little sweetness to them which was unexpected and the olive oil was on the faint side, so the crackers were average. Country Archer Turkey Jerky Hickory Smoked was excellent l, the jerky was tender flavorful with a nice street fair smoked quality and not overly smoked and dehydrated. The Beer Cheese and Bourbon popcorn were not bad both the cheese & Bourbon made for somewhat nice carbonation. This Jet gift basket was very nice and worthwhile for its price and would make for a nice gift for any beer lover, Jet Gift Baskets service was quick and easy as well as having friendly staff. So go and check out Jet Gift Baskets! Please enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

I recently received in the mail a Shakoolie Can Cooler that you can use to hold beer while showering. This product is in two parts, one is the launch pad that stick to the wall of the show with Velcro on it which the Shakoolie stick to acting as a cup holder. The Shakoolie is made of pretty thick material which held Champion Brewing Company Shower beer. I have previously posted a review of Shower Beer. Please check that out. When on the wall the Velcro hold is strong even with a full twelve ounce can of beer, but I am not sure if this cold up an open pint beer can. I will have to try that sometime.
Shakoolie does keep the beer cold even during a hot steamy shower. The Shakoolie really grips the can, it was a little tough getting it out when it was finished. This product can be used out of the shower as well you can go from drinking in the kitchen to the shower and back to the kitchen or wherever you drink beer all while keeping it cold.
This is an A+ product that makes a mundane everyday task fun all while make you smile and I think that not only beer can be used with it and will bring many happy hours in the shower. Thanks, Shakoolie! Cheers! Please enjoy responsibly!
