Brewed locally in Charlotte, North Carolina, NoDa Brewing Company Gose Pink or Go Home!, 3.8, a Raspberry and Pink Himalayan Sea Salt Gose. This Gose style beer that benefits Project Pink that helps support and fight breast Cancer alongside Charlotte Radiology with mobile screenings. Gose Pink or Go Home pours red-like color with a two-finger white steady head. The aroma is tropical, raspberry salted with some sweetness. The taste is similar to its aroma with guava, raspberry sweetness, a bit of tartness with a slated flavor. Gose Pink or Go Home finishes tart, fruity with light salty, and a tart aftertaste. It has a nice light mouthfeel. Overall I found NoDa Brewing Company Gose Pink or Go Home! to be a little above average. I give it a C+ grade. This Gose is not bad, have had better examples of a Gose beer. The salted notes with a little lackluster, the raspberry was a bit overpowering but not terrible. If I had this to drink, I wouldn’t say no. Please stay safe and enjoy responsibly!

This is very easy to drink with loads of bold mango sweet flavors, I give Golden Road Brewing Mango Cart Mango Wheat Ale an A+. It is a solid beer, but I didn’t really get much wheat ale qualities in mango cart which can be good becuase wheat beer tend to be heavier Mango Cart was not that heavy which along with it’s non overbmang flavor makes it a good sessionable beer, yes it crushable (easy to drink). So I recommend Golden Road Brewing Mango Cart Mango Wheat Ale its really tasty. Please stay safe and enjoy responsible! Cheers!

Town Brewing Co. Cruise to Nowhere, 4.8% ABV is a tropical session sour ale brewed in Charlotte, North Carolina, and fermented with mango, guava, passion fruit, blood orange & Hibiscus. Cruise to Nowhere is the 2019 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) gold medal winner. Cruise to Nowhere pours a pinkish-red color with an almost two finger thin white head that fades steadily with fruity tropical aromas that are sour with a touch of tropical flora. Now the taste has a nice tropical fruit flavor of passion fruit which is bigger than that of the mango and guava, and toward the middle and rear of the mouth, you get a nice blood orange citrus fruit. The overall tropical flavor is sour and tart without being too sour that it squinches up your face and finishes with a tropical sour/tartness and with a nice tropical sour aftertaste that is quite refreshing with a lighter mouthfeel. I can easily see how and why Town Brewing Co. Cruise to Nowhere won gold at GABF, it is definitely getting an A here. This sour beer is just the right combo of sour to tropical fruit make for a real gold medal winner that you should not miss out on, it a good beer! Please stay safe and please enjoy responsibly! New Sarum Brewing Co. Strawberry Hazy Cakes Hazy IPA

IMG_1825.jpeg

New Sarum Brewing Co Strawberry Hazy Cakes Hazy IPA, 7.0% ABV, brewed in Salisbury, North Carolina with Local Patterson Farms strawberries and Lactose is a relatively new beer from New Sarum. Strawberry Hazy Cakes pours a hazy yellow color with a one and a quarter white thin head that has little retention. You get nice light sweet fruity strawberry and nice bittersweet aromas that then lead to a bitter taste of nice fruity strawberries that have a light sweetness to them and a hint of a sour like note towards the end that comes to a hoppy strawberry finish and a bitter sweet-fruited aftertaste that linger for a second or two with a medium mouthfeel. The strawberry flavor to this is not as predominant as I was hoping but it did keep the bitterness/hoppiness down with I give New Sarum Brewing Co Strawberry Hazy Cakes Hazy IPA a C-. I would have liked to have more strawberry flavor but not a whole lot more just a little more and I think it would have been better overall. It wasn’t a terrible beer, it was just not what I was thought it was going to be and what I tasted was okay. It is however refreshing and not harsh to drink so that helps a little but I don’t think something that shouldn’t be had, but not one to rush out for. Please stay safe and please enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

I could really taste all the flavors of the beer that are all very well balanced to make a good beer that is really worth trying. Lemon Meringue Pie really does taste like a beer version of said pie and is a bit refreshing at the same time. Resident Culture Brewing Heavy Peeler Kettle Sour

IMG_1800.jpeg

Locally brewed in Charlotte, North Carolina Resident Culture Heavy Peeler Kettle Sour, 4.5% ABV is brewed with lemon, lime, passion fruit, and orange, where I purchased from Pop The Top Craft Beer Shop. Heavy Peeler pours a bright yellow color with a very quick clear/white fizzy head that sends a sour/tart aroma of lime and bits of lemon up into your nose. The taste does somewhat emulates the aroma with nice sweet but sour and tart citrusy lime with some nice bits of lemon and very very faint orange and passion fruit that does become more tart as it passes over the back of the tongue and has a tart lemon/ lime finish that carries into a slightly sour but mostly tart aftertaste that does linger for a while, with a light mouthfeel that is a bit refreshing. Resident Culture Heavy Peeler Kettle Sour is juicy and refreshing but the tart lime is not so bad but not the best and it’s a B. The lime comes and goes throughout the drinking session and yes I recommend Resident Culture Heavy Peeler Kettle Sour. Please stay safe and please enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
