Harland Brewing Japanese Lager

I purchased this Japanese Lager from Harland Brewing in Culver City, California. It came from a local Trader Joe’s. This beer is brewed in San Deigo with puffed Jasmine rice and toasted rice flakes. This beer is also fermented with Urkle (which allows for a nice balance between hops and malt) from Imperial Czech Yeast. This beer is 5% ABV. This Japanese Lager pours a golden color with a three-finger bright white head. The head does leave nice lacing behind as it dissipates. The aroma is semi-sweet, lightly bitter, clean, and crisp. The flavor is sweet, bready, light on bitterness, clean, and crips. This is a light-bodied beer. This Lager finishes clean and crips. The aftertaste has a light sweetness that doesn’t really linger. This Harland Brewing Japanese Lager is better than Japanese Lager from Japan. Those from Japan are good. This Japanese Lager is an A+. I recommend this beer to anyone who fancies a nice Lager. There is a perfect amount of sweetness, bitterness, and breaded notes to make this beer delicious. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

This is the last beer I purchased from the Citizens Public Market in Culver City, Califonia. This beer is Mason Ale Works iPOP! Tart Tango Fruited Tart Ale. This Kettled Sour ale is 4.8% ABV. There is some tartness on the nose as well. The flavor is tart with cherries, raspberries, and some strawberries. This ale had a bit of a cherry cola flavor. The sourness is not really existent here. This has a light feel to the mouth. Then it has a tart cherry finish. The aftertaste of cherries and raspberries lingers a bit. I don’t mind sour ale, but I wouldn’t say I love them. But This iPOP! Tart Tango was fabulous. I give this beer an A+. It wasn’t face puckering sour or tart. It had just the right amount. The fruity flavor really shined. Making this beer delicious. I highly recommend this Mason Ale Works beer! Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Modern Times Beer Fruitlands Sangria Gose

This beer is Fruitlands Sangria Gose from Modern Time Beer in San Deigo, California. This is a sour Gose-style beer that is 4.8% AB. I purchased this from The Citizens Public Market in Culver City. This Gose has Pilsner, malted wheat, and flaked wheat malts. This beer pours a magenta color with a one-finger slightly pink head. This Gose beer has a slightly sour, salty, and sweet aroma. But after a few sips, this Gose started to get better. I would give this beer a C-. I think Westbrook Brewing Gose, in my opinion, is the best version. With the addition of fruit makes the not an even comparison but close. This Fruitlands Gose is not the worst, but I would rush back to try this. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

This has a fuller feel in the mouth. This beer has a sweet yet smooth banana finish. There is a lighter banana aftertaste that lingers for a bit. The flavor overall is exemplary and delicious. I highly recommend this beer to anyone. I’d give St. Bernardus Tripel an A. This beer’s 8% ABV does not reflect how strong this beer is. It does not drink like an 8% beer. It is smooth, and delicious, with fine fruit and effervescents. So try this one and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
