Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Reader’s Choice West Coast IPA

This Sierra Nevada Brewing Company beer is Reader’s Choice. This West Coast IPA is 7% ABV. The beer is named Reader’s Choice due to the Reader’s Choice awards from Craft Beer and Brewing magazine. The magazine hosts that award each year. In 2025, Sierra Nevada won Best Brewery in the Large category, and Russian River, Pinthouse, and Green Cheek in the Midsize Regional, Small Regional, and Small categories, respectively. Naturally, Sierra Nevada brewed this beer to celebrate the award, and all the breweries came to Chico, California (Sierra Nevada’s main brewery HQ) to collaborate on this IPA. This beer pours a light gold with a two-finger white head. The aroma is juicy and fruity. It is bitter with pine notes. The taste is citrusy, juicy, piney, bitter, and hoppy. I think the flavor would become a bit overpowering after two and a half of these. This has a medium mouthfeel. The finish is fruity, bitter, hoppy, with some pine. The aftertaste is faded citrus fruit bitterness and hoppy notes. This is a good beer, but I wouldn’t buy more than two. This West Coast IPA is a B. A solid-tasting beer that I do recommend. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
