Dr. Dank Jack Frost is a Double IPA from Wicked Weed Brewing. This beer is winter and double version of Wicked Weed’s Dr; Dank IPA. This beer comes to us from Asheville, North Carolina, and weighs in at 8% ABV. This beer pours an orange color with a two-finger steady white head. The aroma is dank, citrusy orange, piney, and bitter. I have had a few winter IPAs, and they tend to have some pine flavors. I guess the pine tree is a symbol of winter. That’s what a Christmas tree is. The beer flavor of this beer is an orange citrus fruit, piney, bitter, and hoppy. This beer has a fuller mouthfeel. Then this beer finish with a honey flavor that is slightly orange. The aftertaste is piney with less orange honey. This beer does not quite taste as big as you think it would. It’s good, and I give it an A. The pine flavor on this is there but does smack you in the face with flavor. It has just enough to let you know the pine flavor is there.
