King Canary Brewing Co. Blue Loon Witbier, 5% ABV is from Mooresville, North Carolina. This Witbier is brewed with unmalted wheat, orange peel, & coriander. It it supposed to like an homage to Miller Brewing’s Blue Moon. Blue Loon pours a golden color with two finger quickly disappearing white head. The aroma is a little sweet and light west aromas with faint banana & spice. The taste is semi-sweet, there is light about of spice/wheat and a little bit of a tart banana/ The mouthfeel is on the lighter side. This beer finishes light with a lager like flavor. That familiar finish carries over to the aftertaste with a little sweetness and a bit of tart flavors. Overall this is average beer, and there’s really nothing to write home about. But I would say it a bad beer. I give King Canary Brewing Co. Blue Loon Witbier a C-. I found this to be a thin flavored witbier. Blue Moon has fuller flavor than this. None of the flavors really jump out. I would have this again and it’s not a bad choice if you pick some King Canary Brewing Co. Blue Loon Witbier. Please be kind, be safe and enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
