Edmunds Oast Brewing Co. Cereal For Dinner

I first reviewed this beer, Cereal For Dinner, back in 2020 at the end of May. I thought I would review this beer again because I keep seeing this everywhere. This beer is by Edmunds Oast Brewing Co. in Charleston, South Carolina. This beer comes in at 5.5% ABV and has almonds, vanilla, Lactose, and coconut. This ale pours yellow with a two-finger steady head. The aroma is vanilla-sweet and nutty. The flavor is also vanilla, coconut, and smooth. The flavor of this beer is nutty but slightly nuttier than its aroma. This beer feels light on the mouth. Then you come to a finish of sweet vanilla nuttiness with some fake or artificial coconut. The aftertaste is sweet and nothing more. This beer is not overly sweet overall. That’s good because blonde beer that is sweet shouldn’t be. This ale has the right amount of sweetness with a bit of a nutty flavor. I give Cereal For Dinner a B+. This beer has plain vanilla and not a more exotic type of vanilla. If it did, I would probably rate this higher. I recommend that you drink this beer. It is good. This beer is good enough to have a few. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Edmund’s Oast Brewing Co. Chocolate Caramels Brown Ale

This beer sounds like an interesting take on a brown ale. This beer is from Edmund’s Oast Brewing Co. in CharlestonSouth Carolina. This ale is Chocolate Caramels Brown Ale, 5.8% ABV. This ale has chocolate, vanilla, and lactose. This ale pours an amber light brown color with a two-finger light beige head that sticks around for a while. The aroma is sweet, and there is a roast aroma with chocolate and caramel. The taste is smooth, roasted, sweet with light vanilla and chocolate. I think the chocolate, vanilla, and lactose give a caramel flavor. The mouthfeel is medium. This brown ale then finishes smooth with a caramel chocolate flavor. The aftertaste is sweet but not as sweet as your first sip. It has a Rolo candy-like aftertaste. Edmund’s Oast Chocolate Caramel Brown Ale is a B+. This ale is starting to slip away from a brown ale-style beer and onto another style. It’s not a terrible beer, and it has some brown ale qualities. I would go back for another. I don’t think it’s quite a brown ale. Please be kind, stay safe, and enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Angry Chair Brewing & Westbrook Brewing Zoose Joose.

Angry Chair Brewing & Westbrook Brewing Zoose Joose, 4% AVB is a collaboration between Angry Chair Brewing in Tampa, Florida, and Westbrook Brewing in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. Zoose Joose is an Ambrosia Sour Wheat with Tangerine, Pineapple, Cherry, Coconut, Lactose, and MarshmallowZoose Joose pours a deeper cherry color with a light pink two-finger steady fading head. The aroma is sweet with a nice tangerine cherry flavor with a vanilla note from the Lactose and probably the marshmallow. The taste of Zoose Joose is quite similar to the aroma with a nice sweeter fruity flavor, and nice vanilla Lactose with a cherry tartness that has a coconut marshmallow finish that lingers into the sweet yet tart aftertaste with light to almost medium mouthfeel. Angry Chair Brewing & Westbrook Brewing Zoose Joose is surprisingly good and receiving an AIt has good sour beer quality to it with a nice Lactose sweetness add to gives you a flavor that is worth a try! Please stay safe and enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
