Burial Beer Sparked From The Recollection Of A Distant Awakening West-Coast Style IPA

This IPA, Burial Beer Sparked From The Recollection Of A Distant Awakening West-Coast Style IPA, collaborates with Mcilhenney Brewing Company in Alpine, California. It is 7.1% ABV. This beer is brewed in Asheville, North Carolina, with a triple infusion of Nelson pellets, Cryo, Hop skief (freeze-dried) hops, and Nectraron hops. It has been a while since I reviewed a Burial beer. This IPA pours yellow with a neat yet thick three-finger white sticky head. The aroma is sweet and fruity, with light bitterness. The flavor is bitter, fruity, and light sweetness, with some piney flavors. This IPA has a somewhat light mouthfeel. Then, this beer has a piney fruit finish. The aftertaste is piney. But it has faded a little, so it is not as piney. The aftertaste is bitter and a little fruity. The bitter fruit does linger on as the pine fades out. This is a great, big, flavorful IPA that is an A. I wouldn’t pass this up. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to have it again and again. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Boonshine Brewing Co. Palate Painter Mosaic IPA

Palate Painter is a 6% ABV Mosaic IPA from Boonshine Brewing Co. with American Pale and Wheat malts. Most IPAs I have usually have Citra or Cascade hops, which I like, but finding one with other hop(s) is nice. This IPA from Boon, North Carolina, pours orange with a slightly off-white two-finger head. The aroma is citrusy, orange, grapefruit, and bitter. That reminds me of a bitter citrus fruit cup. The flavor is orange, grapefruit, hoppy and bitter. I think the bitterness is more grapefruit. This has a nice medium feel in the mouth. This IPA finishes with a bitter citrus fruit. The finish is half orange and half grapefruit. You’ll find a bitter hop aftertaste with a muted citrus note. That does linger for a short while and falls away. This is a good beer, B+. You should try this Palate Painter Mosaic IPA. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Seven-Sixty Craft Works The Bob American IPA

The Bob is a 6.3% American IPA from Seven-Sixty Craft Works in Huntersville, North Carolina. This IPA has Amarillo, Citra, and Centennial hops. This beer pours yellow with a big four-finger marshmallow head that never seems to dissipate. The aroma is citrusy (orange and apricots) and bitter. The flavor is bitter, orange, apricot, and floral and is light alcoholic, especially as it warms. This has a lighter feel in the mouth. The finish is bitter, floral, and orange. The aftertaste is also bitter with citrus, with a light alcoholic note. This beer sneaks up on you. I give The Bob an A+. It has just the right bitterness with a good floral citrus flavor. So far, I have only had two beers from Seven-Sixty Craft Works, and I like this brewery, so should you! Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and please enjoy responding! Cheers!

Rogue Ales Mom Beer Wheat India Pale Ale

Mom Beer from Rogue Ale in Newport, Oregon, a 6.3% ABV wheat IPA with Oregon Rose Hips. You rarely see a Wheat IPA, but this one pours a light orange with a one-finger white head. The aroma is floral, bitter, and light on wheat. This smells like a floral IPA. The flavor is like a normal IPA with bitter notes, and then you come across malt, floral, and wheat notes. This bee has a smoothness to it. The finish is floral and bitter. The aftertaste is smooth and bitter with a bit of a floral note. This Mom Beer is okay. The rose hips don’t add anything interesting here, but the wheat does, and it gets a C. It’s OK, average. I wouldn’t recommend this, and I would. It is one of those beers if you have it or pass on it, either way, it’s okay. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Stone Brewing Enjoy By 10.31.24 Hazy IPA

This Hazy IPA, Enjoy By 10.31.24, is part of Stone Brewing’s Enjoy By series of IPAs. They put the expiration date right in the name of the beer. This beer is 9.4% ABV with a heavy helping of Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson Sauvin hop. I have never had a Stone Enjoy By beer. This is my first, but I’ve had my fair share of Stone beers. This beer pours a hazy orange with a one-finger white head. The aroma is tropical, citrusy orange, hoppy and bitter. The flavor is smooth, light-bodied, tropical, citrusy, and hoppy. This has a light to medium mouthfeel. Then, this beer comes to a bitter citrus finish. The aftertaste is bitter citrus as well, but it does end smooth. I didn’t find this IPA to feel like it was 9.4% ABV. I give Stone Enjoy By 10.31.24 a B. Solid hazy IPA with good fruity flavor without being overly strong and aggressive. I recommend that you try this beer. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Maine Beer Company Thank 2024 India Pale Ale

In Freeport, Maine the Maine Beer Company makes Thank You India Pale Ale each year, this is Thank You 2024. This beer is 6.2% with Idaho 7, Strata, Cascade, El Dorado, Warrior hops and also Mapleton Gold (Maine Malt House), 2-Row Brewers, Light Munich (Blue Ox), Red Wheat (Blue Ox), Heritage-Crystal malts. Yes, this beer is brewed with a different recipe each year. This IPA pours orange with a slightly off-white three-finger head. The head is slow to fade out, and it has a citrus (orange & grapefruit), biscuity, bitter pine, and hop aroma. The taste is orange and grapefruit, with pine bitterness, biscuity, and light body as is the mouthfeel. This beer has a bitter pine and orange finish, and a bitter aftertaste. This beer is quite good, and I give this IPA a B. The light body holds it back slightly, but I recommend Thank You 2024. Next year I’ll look out for the 2025 recipe. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! cheers!

The Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, NYC is a gay bar where the Stonewall riots took place in 1969 and it is now a registered US National historic landmark. The is a Stonewall Inn IPA, a session IPA from Brooklyn Brewery in Brooklyn, New York. This beer is 5% ABV. The Brooklyn Brewery partners with The Stonewall Gives Back Initiative. This is a year-round offering. This IPA pours a bright yellow with a big three-finger marshmallow head, that never seems to fade. The aroma is lemon, citrus, light/soft bitterness, and grapefruit. The flavor is also lemon, grapefruit, citrus peels, and light bitterness. This beer is light on the mouthfeel. The finish is citrus fruits and soft bitterness. Then follow an aftertaste of orange and grapefruit bitterness. This Stonewall Inn IPA is delicious and gets an A from me. The flavors are not too much or overpowering. It is something that you could drink a few of before it becomes too much on your palate. I highly recommend Stonewall Inn IPA. It’s a good drinking IPA. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Royal Bliss Brewing Co. Cali King West Coast IPA

I have been ‘exploring’ some of Royal Bliss Brewing Co. beer recently; this is the last of the four I bought a while ago. This is Cali King West Coast IPA. This IPA is 6.8% ABV from Denver, North Carolina (Lake Norman). Royal Bliss was Lake Norman’s best brewery last year and they are nominated again this year. So go to their website and vote for them. This IPA pours yellow with a two-finger somewhat steady fading white head. The aroma is piney, and bitter, with light fruit. The flavor is piney, bitter, hoppy, clean, and smooth. This has a coating mouthfeel. Then this IPA finishes with with bitter pine. This has a. pleasant bitter aftertaste that lingers right until you take another sip. This is a good example of a delicious West Coast IPA. Cali King gets an A. I don’t think Cali King should be missed. I really love Royal Bliss Brewing Co. Their beer is good. Royal Bliss is one of my top breweries. I am going to try more of their beer shortly. Please stay safe, be kind t each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Sloop Brewing Co. Pink Flamingos Hazy IPA

I have to say that Hazy IPA is probably my favorite IPA style. This is Pink Flamingos Hazy IPA from Sloop Brewing Company in Junction, New York. This beer is 6% ABV with flaked oats, malted oats, flaked wheat, HBC-620, and Mosiac Cryo hops. I don’t recall ever having a Sloop Brewing Co. beer. This might be my first. This IPA pours a hazy yellow with a three-finger white fluffy head. The head has a creamy look to it. The aroma is bittersweet, fruity, and hoppy. The flavor is melon, bittersweet, hoppy, and juicy. This has a full feel to the mouth. Then the fruity bitter finish comes in. This beer has a fruity aftertaste with some bitter hops. This beer is good but just that. I give Pink Flamingos a B-. The flavors are 75% there in strength and flavor quality. But I still recommend this Hazy IPA. I would go for it again. It’s just good and not the best one. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Almanac Beer Co. Loud! Hazy DIPA

This hazy DIPA (Double India Pale Ale) from Almanac Beer Co. in Almedia, California is Loud! This beer is dry-hopped with Mosaic and Denali hops. It also has Pilsner, wheat, Flaked Barley, and oats. I have only had one or two from Almanac. This IPA pours a hazy thick yellow with a one-finger white head. The aroma is orange, grapefruit, and grassy, bitter-sweet notes. The flavor is orange, and grapefruit, with bitter/sweet notes and grass. This has a fuller feel in the mouth. This beer finishes really bitter even more so as it warms. The aftertaste is real bitter citrus fruit. Not a good finish and aftertaste. This Loud! Hazy DIPA from Almanac Beer Co. is a D. It was too bitter for my liking. I would not go back to this beer. It was almost like the initial flavor was about to go off. The texture of this DIPA was okay. Its this beer finish and aftertaste that made me not enjoy it. Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
