Burial Beer Dismembered Under the Unforgiving Grip West Coast Style IPA

Here in Charlotte, North Carolina, a new Wegmans supermarket opened, and I went. I purchased Burial Beer Dismembered Under the Unforgiving Grip Wet Coast Style IPA. That was among a lot of other groceries. This IPA is 6.8% and was brewed for Burial’s 2026 Burn Pile in collaboration with Varietal. This beer is whirlpool-hopped with Citra and Chinook DynaBoost. It’s also double dry-hopped with Loza Farms Citra, Chinook, and Amarillo Cryo hops. This IPA pours gold with a two-finger white head. The aroma is piney with light bitterness. The taste is Bitter, metallic, piney, and has a light vegetal note. This beer has a lighter mouthfeel. The finish is harsh, bitter, piney, and light fruit. The aftertaste is off-putting.  The aftertaste is bitter, piney, and metallic. I didn’t like this beer, and I usually do like Burial IPAs. I am giving this a D-. I would not drink this. Nothing really was any good. I couldn’t find any decent or average flavor in this beer. I don’t think this was a West Coast-style IPA. Burial Beer, you need to re-brew this beer; better next time! Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
