This is a newer beer from the fine people at Sugar Creek Brewing Company. Big Hazy O is a Hazy version of the very tasty Big O IPA. This beer is 6.7% and has Blood oranges, Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops. Their Big O doesn’t have Simcoe hops. This is a core Sugar Creek beer. This IPA pours a hazy yellow with a one-and-a-half-finger white head. The aroma is blood orange fruit, bitter, and it’s juicy. The flavor is juicy with blood oranges and has a hoppy bitterness that is a bit hazy on your tongue. This has a litter feel on/in the mouth. The finish is orangey, slightly candy-like with a nice bitterness. The aftertaste is bitter with juicy oranges. This Big Hazy O is somewhat better than its non-hazy counterpart.
