This Irish red ale, Yule shoot your Eye Out, is from Huston, Texas. It’s 5.6% ABV with Caramel malts. It is a Christmas beer, and I know that has passed. This beer pours a deep red/copper color with a slightly off-white two-finger head. The aroma is sweet, malted, and cinnamon. The taste is similar. It’s sweet with cinnamon and caramel. There are some malted flavors too. The flavors are a bit muted. The mouthfeel is medium. Then you’ll get a sweet malty finish. Then there is a malted, bittersweet aftertaste. I think Yule shoot your Eye Out isn’t a terrible beer. I found the flavor to be dull or muted. So This beer from Texas gets a C-.I almost went lower, but then I thought this beer was terrible. I mean, at no point while I was drinking this did I think I didn’t want to finish it. No, I would recommend it, but at the same time, I would say you need to stay away from this beer.
