A collaboration between Creature Comforts Brewing Co. in Athens, Georgia & Sierra Nevada Brewing in Mills River, North Carolina Get Comfortable Hazy Double IPA, 8% ABV which is a limited release, they use Citra and HBC 586 hops that we brewed in collaboration with our friends at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. 100% of the profits from this beer go directly to their Get Comfortable campaign, a year-round outreach program designed to channel the generosity of many toward our community’s most pressing needs. Get Comfortable IPA pours a dark golden color with a two-finger white head that quickly fades to one finger then sticks around. The aroma is citrusy with orange and grapefruit, there is also a bitter hop note that is a little piney. The flavor is too citrusy with orange and grapefruit with bitterness and a hoppy flavor, The mouthfeel is medium but does feel slightly full. This IPA then has a bitter finish with some fruity citrus notes and a citrusy aftertaste that is big on the hop flavor. Creature Comforts Brewing Co., & Sierra Nevada Brewing Get Comfortable Hazy Double IPA is a good beer, and I give this an A-. I have not had too many hazy double IPA’s, I’ve had regular double IPA’s. It definitely and strong hazy IPA with good citrus bitterness but it does quite drink like an 8% ABV IPA. That’s a good thing in my opinion. It doesn’t have a huge amount of hop flavor but some. I don’t know if I’d go back to this soon, but I also don’t know if I will never have it again either. Please be kind, be safe and enjoy responsibly!ount of hop flavor but some.
