Way back and a long time ago I have reviewed Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Früh Bock, 6.0% ABV. Since then it has gone from a 750ml bottle to a 12oz bottle to now a 16oz can. This is a spring bock brewed with Bavarian hops, water, malt, and yeast, much like the traditional German method of brewing. It is produced locally here in Charlotte, North Carolina. Früh Bock pours a deep golden orange color with a tight one-finger white head. It has a sweet, hoppy slight biscuity malt aroma. The taste is sweet at first with a bit of hop bitterness with a bit of a light biscuit malt note. It is crisp and refreshing and finishes the same with a light hoppy sweet note. This beer has a medium mouthfeel. Früh Bock has slight sweet malt aftertaste. I found Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Früh Bock to be a good spring bock beer, and I give it an A-. Olde Mecklenburg Brewery does not disappoint with its beers, and Früh Bock is no exception. It has a nice spring flavor that is refreshingly tasty. You can spend part of your afternoon with a package of these and I recommend that you do.
