Coming from Charleston, South Carolina Edmund’s Oast Brewery Co. Coin Operated Belgian-Style Ale, 5.5% ABV, which Edmunds classifies it as a Grisette, a table beer brewed with 2-Row, Wheat, Oat malts, Huell Melon, Hallertau, Blanc flavor hops, and Belgian Yeast. Coin Operated pours a yellow color with a four-finger bright white thick fluffy head with very good retention giving off very light lemon notes with a big and bright yeasted flavor hitting the nose. That leads into a taste of a yeasty lemon crispness with a faint spiced note that is refreshing with a white wine flavor in the middle and back of the mouth that comes to a nice refreshing white wine with a bit of yeasted spiced and a nice apple/green grape aftertaste with a lighter mouthfeel. Edmund’s Oast Brewery Co. Coin Operated Belgian-Style Ale is quite tasty getting an A+ from me. I found it to be refreshing with the right amount of spice, white wine, and yeasted flavors a balance of great flavors, which you should experience. It’s a great beer that’s great after a long hot day. Please stay safe and please enjoy responsibly!
