Another Beer & Chips Pairing with Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Früh Bock, 6.0% ABV & Frito-Lays Ruffles Double Crunch Zesty Cheddar. Frito-Lays Ruffles Double Crunch Zesty Cheddar looks like a normal Ruffles Potato Chip but with larger more pronounced ridges and a bright cheddar cheese orange color. They do have a rather pungent cheddar aroma. These cheesy Ruffles are bold with a big cheddar flavor that flows right along with Früh Bock which mutes the faint potato flavor. I think that the Cheddar flavor is so big it would be hard for some beer to wash it out, but Früh Bock does enhance the zest cheddar big it out all over you mouth with a nice crips cheddar finish and aftertaste. Olde Mecklenburg Früh Bock pairs nicely with Frito-Lays Ruffles Double Crunch Zesty Cheddar making for a great combo and getting an A-.
