I have had Wicked Weed Brewing beers. But I haven’t had Imperial Perni Haze IPA. This Imperial IPA from Asheville, North Carolina, is 9.1% ABV. This is an Imperial version of Perni Haze IPA. This beer pours yellow with a one-finger white head. The nose is juicy fruit with bitterness. The flavor is juicy fruit, citrusy, bitter, hoppy, and strong. This has an almost full mouthfeel. The finish is strong and slightly boozy, with bitter, fruity, hoppy notes. The aftertaste is more boozy as the hoppy and juicy fruit fades. I found this to be strong to be strong. It wasn’t different from the regular Perni Hazy IPA. I give this IPA a C. I don’t mind an imperial version of beer. They should be more than just a stronger version.
