I guess purchasing The Vail Brewing Co.’s White Ferrari is the closest I’ll get to owning a Ferrari. This 8% ABV hazy double IPA is intensely hopped with 50/50 Citra and Galaxy hops. This beer is from Richmond, Virginia. This hazy beer pours a light orange with a one-finger white head. The head fades steadily but leaves some poor lacing. The aroma is juicy tropical fruit, bitterness, and light hop notes. The flavor is juicy tropical fruit (mango, pineapple, papaya, and light kiwi). It is hoppy and light on bitterness. This beer has a fuller mouthfeel. This tastes like your average hazy IPA. The finish is slightly bitter and fruity. It has a tropical, bitter finish that slowly fades. It does, however, coat your tongue. This is just average for me; I give White Ferrari a C. I found this beer not hoppy enough, or the tropical flavors overpowered the bitter hops. I would recommend it, sort of. But I may not have this again for a little while. It wasn’t bad, and I can’t say it was good either.
