This hazy DIPA (Double India Pale Ale) from Almanac Beer Co. in Almedia, California is Loud! This beer is dry-hopped with Mosaic and Denali hops. It also has Pilsner, wheat, Flaked Barley, and oats. I have only had one or two from Almanac. This IPA pours a hazy thick yellow with a one-finger white head. The aroma is orange, grapefruit, and grassy, bitter-sweet notes. The flavor is orange, and grapefruit, with bitter/sweet notes and grass. This has a fuller feel in the mouth. This beer finishes really bitter even more so as it warms. The aftertaste is real bitter citrus fruit. Not a good finish and aftertaste. This Loud! Hazy DIPA from Almanac Beer Co. is a D. It was too bitter for my liking. I would not go back to this beer. It was almost like the initial flavor was about to go off. The texture of this DIPA was okay. Its this beer finish and aftertaste that made me not enjoy it.
