This style comes from Belgium. Kriek is a type of Lambic, just with cherries. This beer pours a deep red color with a pink two-finger head. The aroma is tart, cherries, and some yeast esters. The flavor is on the light sour side, cherry, and there is tartness. This has a light feel on the mouth. This beer has a tart cherry finish. Light cherry flavors come in the aftertaste with a light tartness. This is very different from a typical beer. But it is enjoyable. I give Kriek Brut from Liefmans an A-.
