This imported beer is Westmalle Trappist Ale Tripel from Malle, Belgium. It is 9.5% ABV and imported by Merchant Du Vin in Tacoma, Washington. This import company is owned by the Pike Brewery. Westmalle Tripel is brewed by Trappist Monks, and their beer sales go towards charity. This Tripel Ale pours a golden apple juice color with a light haze. This beer has a two-and-a-half white finger fluffy head. The aroma of this beer is fruity, sweet, strong, and malty. The flavor is fruity (bananas-like), sweet, strong and malty. The beer flavor is not too strong. This beer has a fuller mouthfeel. Then this ale finishes with a boozy, fruity flavor. Then comes the aftertaste of malts, fruit, and some boozy. The aftertaste lingers for a short bit, then it’s gone. This is a good beer, one that I give an A. The Belgians really know how to beer good beer. This one is almost as good as Chimay Tripel.
