Little Whaleboat India Pale Ale, from Main Beer Company, is named after three islands (Little Whale Boat, Nate, & Tuck). They are located in Casco Bay. These islands and ledges are protected by the Maine Coast Heritage Trust. This IPA is from Freeport, Maine, and is 6.5% ABV. This beer pours a cloudy yellow color with a three-finger fluffy white head. The aroma is of tropical fruit (mango & pineapple), citrus fruit, and bitterness. The flavor is lemon, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, and mango. The mouthfeel is smooth and light. Then this IPA finishes with a soft tropical and citrus flavor. Then you get an aftertaste of smooth, delectable fruits with some bitterness. This beer is a very tasty IPA. I give Little Whaleboat an A+. I highly recommend it. It has all the go fruity bitter IPA flavors. It is drinkable. I don’t think it feels like it is 6.5% ABV at all. Also, this beer does drink/taste like it is more expensive than eight dollars. I found this at my local grocery store, and I don’t see any Maine Beer Company products anywhere. If you see this, don’t hesitate to buy it! Please stay safe, be kind, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
