Brewed in Charlotte North Carolina Legion Brewing Next chapter East Coast India Pale Ale, 6.8% ABV and 58 IBU (International Bittering Units) is a beer that uses a portion of the beer proceeds to go towards a Charlotte charity organization. This IPA pours a slightly cloudy yellow color with a one and a quarter white head that fades somewhat quickly. The aroma is bitter/hoppy with piney aromas coming off it. The flavor is piney, bitter/hoppy with dryness to it that is faintly reminiscent of an odd lemon because there is no citrus flavor anywhere else. The mouthfeel is on the lighter dryer side. This Legion IPA finishes with a dry hoppy piney bitterness that trails off into nothing. The aftertaste is piney with a nice amount of dry bitterness that goes rather quickly. This beer has good quaffable flavor but I wouldn’t say it’s sessionable, it does have a 6.8% ABV. I think it’s a C+ beer. Just right about average. Would I have this again? Well, it wouldn’t be my first choice, maybe my second choice. Remember to please be kind, please be safe, and please enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
