I haven’t had a Foothills Brewing beer in a while but I’ve seen Thousand Smiles Golden Ale, 4.4% ABV and wanted to try it. This is a relatively new beer from Foothills Brewing. I was in my local grocery store and picked up a six pack of Thousand Smiles. American Golden Ales are golden to light in color with more subtle overall character and light body than typical pale ales. They are brewed domestically and will have less body, hop, and malt character than a pale ale. Thousand Smiles pours a bright golden yellow color with a one and a half finger white quick fading head that does leave lacing behind giving you aromas of a slight sweetness with nice light malt notes and a crisp slightly sweet flavor of a somewhat light breaded note that is clean with a very light yet faint hop note towards the back of the mouth with a crisp light faintly malted finish with a clean aftertaste with a light mouthfeel. Foothills Brewing Thousand Smiles Golden Ale is a good beer and deserving of an A. As usual Foothills Brewing has brewed another great beer, and one beer that I highly recommend trying as well as any Foothills Brewing beer. This is one you can enjoy again and again without having the beer overpower your palate. This could be an everyday and/or go to beer. Cheers! Please enjoy responsibly!
