12st Amendment Brewery Find Your Fortune

I am assuming that by the fortune cookie on the can, this 21st Amendment Brewery beer, Find Your Fortune, is supposed to taste like a fortune cookie. Well, this beer from San Francisco, California, has sesame seeds, lactose, and vanilla. It is a 7.5% imperial golden toasted ale, according to the can. This ale pours a blonde/golden color with a one-and-a-half finger of quickly fading white head. The aroma is sweet with light vanilla, and some cookies. There is a sweetness too. But the other flavors aren’t as pronounced. There is light lactose and vanilla with faint cookie The sweetness is cloyingly sweet. This has a lighter mouthfeel. This beer finishes with a bad taste of sweetness and gone-off vanilla cookies. The aftertaste is like a bad cookie. I wouldn’t recommend this, and it’s a D-. It is just a bad kind of sweet and not much else. It does not feel or taste like an imperial-style beer. It feels not so strong in the alcohol department. Well, that may be the only positive thing about this beer. Don’t drink this beer! Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! Cheers!
