As long as I have been writing and blogging about beer, I have never had a Dogfish Head beer. The Dogfish Head Brewery has been in operation since 1994, but as of 2019, it has been part of the Boston Beer Company. They are known for Samual Adams. This beer is 60 Minute IPA, which is 6% ABV. This IPA is hopped for 6o minutes, and they add 60 hop additions constantly. This IPA pours a golden amber/copper color with a one-finger white head. The head fades at a semi-quick pace. The aroma is bitter and malty, with light sweetness. The flavor is bitter/hoppy, malty, sweet, and smooth. This IPA has a semi-light feeling in the mouth. This beer finishes smooth with some bitter hop flavors. The aftertaste is bitter but less bitter than its initial flavor. There is not much aftertaste. This is more of a classic IPA. How IPAs were twenty-four to twenty-five years ago. I like that type of IPA because it differs from all the New England, West Coast, and Hazy IPAs that have become so popular. I still like those kinds of IPAs. But it’s nice to have something different. This is a good IPA that doesn’t overpower your taste buds. This IPA is a B+. I can’t believe it has been this long, and I have not had Dogfish Head Brewery 60 Minute IPA. I recommend it! Please stay safe, be kind to each other, and remember to enjoy responsibly! cheers!
