In Freeport, Maine the Maine Beer Company makes Thank You India Pale Ale each year, this is Thank You 2024. This beer is 6.2% with Idaho 7, Strata, Cascade, El Dorado, Warrior hops and also Mapleton Gold (Maine Malt House), 2-Row Brewers, Light Munich (Blue Ox), Red Wheat (Blue Ox), Heritage-Crystal malts. Yes, this beer is brewed with a different recipe each year. This IPA pours orange with a slightly off-white three-finger head. The head is slow to fade out, and it has a citrus (orange & grapefruit), biscuity, bitter pine, and hop aroma. The taste is orange and grapefruit, with pine bitterness, biscuity, and light body as is the mouthfeel. This beer has a bitter pine and orange finish, and a bitter aftertaste. This beer is quite good, and I give this IPA a B. The light body holds it back slightly, but I recommend Thank You 2024. Next year I’ll look out for the 2025 recipe.
