Sunny Monkey is a collaboration between Brewers at 4001 Yancey and Victory Brewing. Victory from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which is one half of Brewers at 4001 Yancey here in Charlotte, North Carolina. The other being Six Point Brewing. Sunny Monkey is part of Victory’s Monkey beer. This is a Belgian Sour with Coriander and Guava that is brewed here in Charlotte. This beer is 4.5% ABV. This sour beer pours a slightly hazy yellow with a three finger white head. The aroma is tropical fruity with some sweetness & spices. The taste is tropical guava fruit, sweet with spices. The beer is overall a light feeling beer. This beer has a sweet tropical finish that is bright and refreshing. The aftertaste is the same as its finish but with an additional tart spice note. This Sunny Monkey is an A. I recommend this Sunny Monkey beer. It is a easy drinker and refreshing. It is not overly tart or sour. It has the right amount.
